Welcome back to the cycling challenege. We racked up a lot of miles in 2020 and hopefully we can all hit our goals for 2021 as well. Feel free to post your numbers up from your road bike, mountain bike, zwift session, etc.
The rules are simple: Pick a mileage goal for the year and post your daily and total mileage. E.g. 20/87 (I rode 20 miles today / 87 total for the year) or I rode 150 miles for the week / 1200 total for the year. If you want to add me on Strava, shoot me a PM. Feel free to tag others that you know. @way-out-west2 @Fourman @VoodooChile @smullen @Easy_E @mattcz @XeroSasEnchros @rfox @cchurchi @EnduroBro @MaxGane @VACaver @Henny @GaryM @WWolfe @Whamo @BoggsAZ @DrafterDan @corwin1968 @FMJ3 @Martlet @eagle308us @badredfish @DDalton @jonathon1289 @VoodooChile @wilmermj |

Add me to your @list please.
My diverge just got back out of shop last week. I have put 4.8k on it over the last 3 years. Started from never riding other then to school as a kid to all I could think about on my days off. Covid, winter and bike damage kinda threw me off this year so I’m rusty but, I have been pushing 20 miles on the days I have ridden. My goal is 2000 miles and the doing the our local STP Seattle to Portland later in the year. I trained all last year for it and covid canceled it. |

Count me in, but I have no idea if I'll clear 1000 this year or not. Getting out on the reg has been a problem for me. I haven't cleared 1000 since '16, and I'd cleared 3,000 for a few years prior to that... but job changes just took away my free daylight time, and then the GF and her kids moved in...
I rather suspect I won't, because I went and bought a Peloton to take away my excuses for not riding something. I can ride that without worrying about what's going on outside. But I still want to try to keep track. ETA: This perhaps should be cross posted in cycling... |

Hell yeah I'm in
I'm shooting for 3000 this year. Been on my inside trainer since I took a spill on a icy trail just after Christmas. With it getting in the mid 30's this week I'm hoping to get my 1st outside ride of 2021. Ice sucks |
|
[#4]
My 2021 mileage goal is going to be 2,200 miles this year. I'm going to be starting out on the trainer on Zwift again to rack up a few of those miles prior to the weather getting nicer.

Got my 1st rides of the year in 40 miles last week. Stuck inside now with ice covered streets. Probably on my trainers until spring which sucks

I'm in for a thousand.
I did three thousand two years ago and haven't been back on my bike since. This will motivate me to get my ass moving again. |

I'll count 'em. I guess it's all good, miles aren't all the same. A mile on an MTB can be much harder than a mile on a Roadie. That puts me to 207 for 2020. |

got in 16 miles yesterday / 102 miles for the year.
Changed out to a set of road bike pedals from mountain bike ones. Had to adjust the seat way lower and move it slightly forward. The new shoes feel like they fit great but I'm still getting a hot spot in my left foot after only 4 miles of riding. Hopefully messing with the cleat position will fix it. Strava says I'm 90.5 miles behind pace for my 2200 mile goal this year. I really need to get my legs back, taking such a long break has killed my fitness. |

That's the end of the riding week. Got ice/snow overnight and It's going to be below zero until at least Monday. |

Ok - I will check in to this one....
two years ago busted 1600 Miles last year was at 1592 or something like that... I am going to slow it down for this year and shoot for 100 miles a month - mix in more swimming and running... So mark me down for 1200 Miles.... Weather has been suckiing and I am at about 120 miles so far.... Red |

Mostly on trainer so far. But I'd better get cracking because I have some big outdoor rides lined up this year. Including that 200mi gravel ride in Kansas |

Winter is finally breaking. Was mid to upper 30's. Getting warm enough so roads are not slippery. I'm ready to put my winter beater away and not wear rain gear. |

Did 100 miles this last Saturday...in the rain the whole time. I am really far behind on my mileage and my first race is April 24/25.

New bike day yesterday. I hope to put a lot of miles on it this year. I mostly build up frames, but the availability of components is sketchy, so I just bought the whole thing new. Very little stock on bikes, locally. Pivot Mach 5.5 Fits me like a glove: Attached File |

Did a novice level (Cat 3) mountain bike race near Seminole, OK ..I prefer road and gravel bikes so that rocky course tore me a new one..Pretty sure I left some DNA out there..Beers with a dozen good friends afterwards made it better though. |

A horrible week. Weather was great but work was not Hoping to get out every day this week. |

10/163. Got a bike fit done recently and I feel much better now with the new pedals and shoes. The weather is starting to get nicer here in PA - so I expect the miles to finally start climbing. Strava tells me I'm 240 miles behind my goal for the year.
That's a good looking bike Wolf |

20.3 miles yesterday at 5 Points (Cloudland Canyon in GA). Gives me 175 trail miles so far for the year.
I'm obviously tracking miles, but not really chasing a goal this year (unlike last year where that goal changed several times). Just getting out to ride as much as possible, with no real thought for total miles or average per ride. |
|
[#38]
I did 50 yesterday...finally getting miles on...time change and better weather. Big race in April I need to get ready for. This Spring Break I plan to get some miles on.

71/262 Weeks are getting better.
Looks like I'll be riding in the rain at the end of the week. Better than snow. |

Now summer time zone....I hate winter time. So 155 miles this week already....love the weather and Spring Break mileage..

Kind of a down week. Rain coming up but still hope to make my 1st 100 mile week of the year this week. |

In and done. 1029 miles so far this year:)
Stay safe out there. Edit: these are easy road miles and I realize how hard a mountain mile can be but I have logged 55,000 feet of elevation gain so that's where I like to work. |

Shoulder surgery two weeks ago sidelined me from riding. Hoping the Doc gives me the OK today to ditch my sling and get back on my bike. I ride a recumbent, so there's no pressure on my shoulders

I'm a fair weather rider, and ride just to ride
I did over 1600 miles last year, I suppose I'll do at least that much this year do or not, don't care. just ride to get out of the house and be on the bike. |
