Due to the curfew and an early morning meeting, time was against me. |

6/4- 1/654.02 Today- 655.02 If I don't run before daylight or after dark, it's not happening. In the mornings it in the mid 70s, but humidity in the mid to upper 90% range. At night the temps are higher, in the 80s, but the humidity is in the low 90s. Mid day is about unbearable. I've also picked up too many hobbies during the quarantine, and now that the gyms are back open it's tough to cram everything into one day. |

Unfortunately, I can't run after dark as the temperature is still over 100 most days. I'll be traveling back to MI soon for a bit, so I'll have access to a treadmill if it's too humid outside. At least there won't be snow on the ground. :) |

Quoted: I haven't logged any miles for over a week. I had surgery last Tuesday and am recovering. My wife and I did go for a walk down to the lake on Monday. Round trip was less than a mile, so I didn't bother logging it. It was an interesting hike. Some of the locals decided that it was a topless beach. No land whales, pics, or complaints. View Quote A few weeks have passed during which time I've done a few more hikes with my wife. I logged those of 2.0+ miles which got me about 12 miles. Yesterday, I ran (very slowly) for 2.04 with my son; 4 weeks after hernia repair surgery. I can definitely feel a decrease in cardio capability, but there was little pain elsewhere. Legs and all felt fine at the time. The recovery site was a little tender as I walked part of it, but not during the running. Weird? Later in day, ibuprofen was needed for my knees. I wanted to join my better half as she started Day 1 of the C210K in the evening; she actively didn't want me to go. I promise that I'm not going to judge her; I'm happy that she's starting. I did another 2.12 this morning, again slowly. It's feeling better, and I'll probably keep it in the 2-3 range (maybe daily) for a few more weeks. Current total: 386.51 and about 52 miles off where I should be to hit the 1K. I'll make that up when fully recovered, no worries. Hang in there everyone! |

I've been there with the hernia surgery. I took 5 weeks off before the doctor gave me the all clear to start running again. Had to relearn my breathing techniques again after that much time recovering. |

When I headed out this morning, my original plan was to go for a MTB ride and catch a run later on. Realizing that I left my helmet at home, I decided to get a trail run in instead. I was really pleased with how smoothly today's run went. |
