It looks like everyone has posted up their results for 2017 in it's thread. Let's get another one going for 2018.
Ilovetorun does a 1000 mile challenge every year. This year they are also doing a 1500 and 2000 mile option. Some of us participated in the 1000 mile challenge last year and logged our miles in a thread. This thread is for the same purpose. I got in the challenge last year and found it motivating seeing people put their miles up every day. It really helped hold me accountable. There is also an ARFCOM group on Garmin Connect and Strava so that participants can keep up with each others progress. So here's how it works. Each time you run put up a post in here showing your distance for that day, plus the total for the year. Assuming it's not 15 degrees in the morning I will put up an example. Otherwise it's up to one of the other guys. |

Typical conversation when I meet someone new.
Them; You look like you lift, do you lift? Me; Yeah Them; what do you do for cardio? Me; I lift faster Good luck to ya. That is a great goal and have fun |

I'm in for 2000. if I had started and finished just a little stronger I would have been there this year. A lot can happen in a year we'll see.

I'm hoping to hit 1500 in 2018. Thanks for starting this one for the new year.

I'm in for 2,500 in 2018. I know I'll be starting behind pace, but I should be able to make it up in the long run.
Bought a new (to me) treadmill today. It'll come in handy for getting miles in while being close enough to baby #3 that I can still help out. Hopefully it's delivered soon. Here's the Garmin Connect group. And here's the Strava group. Feel free to put these in the OP. |

I'm in. Started running last spring, and logged about 500 miles. I think I can hit 1000 this year.

Whenever I see someone running I always say to myself " Is their bike broken "?

Just signed up for Smashrun pro and got a free 1 year subscription to Smashrun pro to send to anyone who has never had the pro version. Any takers?
1 year, costs 60 bucks. Just PM me young email I guess. Or Smashrun free user name... |

5.1 miles in 44.08.
Hoping to hit 1500 this year and make the Keys 100 by 2019. |

Got a request for the Garmin group from a user "42208b4f-059e-4376-a201-6e454f54d540" is that someone on here or some sort of spam bot?

What kind of treadmill did you get? I'm looking to pick up something new for those rainy days since ours just burned out a couple months ago. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I figure I'll tape my wife's broken-screened iPad to it for use as an entertainment system. |

5.10 / 5.10
I have the Horizon T7 Treadmill that I bought a couple years ago after I killed the first walmart special one I had. :) Horizon Elite T7 They have a newer model out now: T7-02 If you use Ebates.com, you can get 4% cash back. When I bought mine, it was 8% cash back. |

5.11/5.11. Had to stay indoors with the temperature and snow today.
I also left the Garmin group until I get my new Garmin tracker. Still using my old fit bit for now, and I can't copy to the Garmin software easily. |

More miles than I can probably get, but I'll shoot for 1k.
If you haven't seen it, Strava and Lulu are launching a 40-80k challenge tomorrow for two weeks. Lulu gives out free swag if you complete it. |

3.11/3.11 cool mid day run/walk with the family. 26 degrees in Mississippi is freaking cold.
My goal for the year is 1200 miles, 2 organized half marathons, a long (25k or more) trail run, and another full. I'd love to do St Judes injury free this year. |

Failed to start my watch, and as such can only officially claim 1.7 miles.
1.7/1.7 |

7.5 / 7.5
Running in new shoes instead of ones that have 600+ miles on them is really nice! Everyone who has requested to join the Strava group has been added. |

6.0/6.0
This will be a stretch for me. 2017 was just 500 miles running, but I did manage 950 on the bike . I just requested entry to the Strava group. |

In. Maybe this will provide some sort of motivation to get my ass moving.

Interested in trying this, would help drop a little weight. Don't know about 1000 miles though, I've broken my left foot in 4 places, but am willing to give it a go.
