Update 3
Now goal is $2k Come on Arfcom! Update2 GoFundMe Page The GoFundMe is up and running. As a long standing member, I pledge that this is will be done as best and fairly as possible. Right now, I have one verified member, @floridacop in need of support. These funds are to be used two ways. To directly help those in need. And to reimburse/fund those donating transporting supplies to those in need. Already, @Bowhntr6pt is trying to get supplies to Floridacop. If there are other affected Arfcommers in need. Please, let me know and a way that this could be verified. The listed goal is $1,000 but I know we can do farther and further than that. Arfcom is a great community. Let's keep that tradition alive. It has helped me out and we sure as shit helped out others here. I will raffle off this. If any Arfcommers have items to donate to the raffel. Please by all means do so. We can make a definitive date to end the raffle after we get this better organized. Miami_JBT Quoted:
My donation for the raffle. A 50 year anniversary 10/22 in pink. View Quote Update Site Staff Approved Will be starting a GoFundMe for Floridacop and any other verified Arfcommers that have been hurt by the storm. Right now I have personally verified @floridacop. One Arfcommer is trying to roll out monday with supplies for him. I have other Arfcommers offering support both financially and materially. At the moment I don't need a thing. I'm fine for the most part. Got food, fuel, water, and generator. This is for verified members in need. Original Post PENDING SITE STAFF APPROVAL @Aimless @Striker As during previous hurricanes that hit FL. I get deployed to support hard hit areas. Did it for Hermine, Matthew, and Irma. On standby for Michael. Any and all information that I get will be relayed here and also any support and relief efforts and information. In the end, Arfcom andit membersi have treated me well and I like to return the favor. Hopefully we dodge the bullet again. Hopefully our homes, property, and loved ones make it through without a scratch. Stay safe and keep in touch. PS, Zello will be up and running soon too. That honestly was a great tool last go around for Irma. |

I'm fine. Lost power, other than that we're good. He needs it. |

I.am coming down and am happy to bring water, gas, plywood, food, whatever with me. Merlin volunteered to ride along. We will load up Tuesday and leave Wednesday morning. Driving a 3500 pulling a 10k cap trailer

Floridacop Update
Spoke to him for about twenty minutes. EMS is not dispatching calls due to damage. Every station (LE/FF/EMS) received major damage. Radios are down, cellphones are down, CAD is down, and even their servers took a hit. During the storm, one of the FF stations sent out an emergency tone due to the roof collapsing. FFs had to move trucks during the storm. An estimated 280+ people didn't evacuate a coastal area and are feared missing due to wind damage and storm surge. He lives 16 miles inland from the coast. Seven trees landed on his house. He was not home, but his family was. He feared they were dead. As Floridacop put it. I feared getting home and when I saw my wife was okay. I cried my eyes out. He sounded positive about his family surviving but devastated about the loss. He is one hell of a cop and has been honest and truthful. I've gladly worked with him and proud to say he's good people and one of us. He is shaken to the core. He rode out the storm at the county EOC and truly feared the worst happened to his loved ones. But his is humble as hell right now and has denied assistance even though he needs it. To put things in perspective, the Bay County Sheriff's Jail is deep in the woods off the main road. You could never see it. Now you can. The Forest of pines have been leveled. It is like Siberia's Tunguska Event. He has officers that report to him that haven't been able to report due to being blocked in their homes. A number of their fleet is down as are neighboring agencies due to trees and buildings collapsing. The hospital situation is bad. Gulf (I can't remember the full name) is not accepting patients and another is critical due to damage. Like he said, EMS is not dispatching calls still due to damage and ability to navigate the roads safely. He fears multiple casualties will be found. Especially as they move further east into Bay County. That part is more lower income. More shantytown and trailer park type living. I am asking Site Staff to allow a GoFundMe to be set up for Floridacop and other verified Arfcommers. I'm vouching for Floridacop. I have his contact info and address. I've personally worked with him and had the pleasure of seeking his assistance for help in making arrests on my cases. Arfcom is a hell of a community and does amazing things. It has helped me and sure as shit helped others. I know some here can donate time and supplies too. Thanks for that. Let's continue that trend. Some have insurance and such, other might not. But there are things insurance won't help. |

In.
Debating if I want to fly back North and truck equipment down. |

I went over yesterday and evac'd my sister and her kids... Headed back in tomorrow. I'll be off 77 on Crooked Ln. I'll be making this trip at minimum weekly for the foreseeable future from Pace to resupply my Dad with fuel and other required items. I'm bringing multiple chainsaws with fuel, rechargeable sawzalls (if you have a genny) with metal blades. My truck is full right now with water, food, etc.
If anyone has specific needs let me know and I can work out when/where to meet on this/future trips. |

Hit it for $87.
I haven't had power since Wed, but thankfully no damage. |
