... you folks with many flashlights lying around the house (not stored), I challenge you to gather them all in one place, then actuate each and every one. Recall the number or percentage that didn't light. Was a real eye-opener here! Damn, I failed. Had 6 of 12 with dead batteries

No need to disclose any results in this thread, just a reminder to yourselves to check your laying around lights

Fourteen not including weapon-lights.  One of the C Maglights with AA rechargeable batteries in an adapter slightly dim.

Thank you ARFcom for making me buy a Fenix TK-30, that thing is incredible.

Let me know when the intervention is.

I keep 60 18650 batteries and at least 100 double a batteries plus a myriad of other sizes.   So even if one of my twenty or so lights didn't work....i would have extra batteries for it.

I have dozens of flashlights, headlights, lanterns, etc. all over my office, datacenter, in every room of the house, in all the cars/trucks and the garage and workshop.

They are all always in good working condition because:
a.) I use them all the time
b.) I have a stock pile of 100s of rechargeable batteries (18650, AAA, AA, C, D, 9v) and chargers in a charging workstation that rivals some of y'alls ammo forts
   c.) We get "weather" here.

Oh and we live in the dark ...

Convoy S2 (single 18650) with SST40  led (6500k , 4 mode, 1800lm approx ) $13.99

One more for the addicts to check out, I just got one, it's impressive for chinesium. Ordered a few more S2s, this GD has cost me. Mine lights work, just went through them. OG 6p could use new batteries of the ones I dug out.

Do my 30 free Harbor Freight flashlights with known dead batteries have to count???

2/2 100%

Of course, I needed them both 2 weeks ago and the batteries were dead then... but I had spares on-hand too.

Really would like to get one of those hand cranked set ups or similar...

Part of my OCD habit, I routinely test and change batteries in my flashlight.
