Publix.
They are genuinely happey you are there and the sandwiches are packed! The selection is limited but still great subs. Growing up in Va Bch there was a local chain called Zeros's been around forever. Awesome Subs/Grinders |

I've always liked Subway. Of course it all depends on what you ask for on your sandwich.
We have a couple of Jersey Mike's opening up nearby. I haven't tried them yet. Jimmy John's is okay, but they have two stores about 2 miles from me as the crow flies, and neither will deliver here, so fuck 'em. |

I tried Jersey Mikes. I was underwhelmed yet overcharged for the privilege. Will not return.

Jersey Mike's if I want a cold sub. I had a bad incident at Subway and haven't been back in 20+ years though I am told they have some good stuff now.
If I want a toasted sub I used to go to Quizno's but they are pretty much out of the area now; only other option that is not a traditional sub shop is Mr. Hero. |

My best friend's brother owns the firehouse franchise locally. So I don't have to pay (his decision not mine) when I go. However I still think I like Penn Station a little better.

Submarine House. It's a Southwest Ohio chain.
I thought Schlotsky's went out of business. All the stores around here closed up. |

In my AO, we have JJ's, Subway and Cousins, nothing else. Of the tree, it's just a matter of taste for the day and where I am. Every town has a subway, but only one JJ's within 30 miles and a couple Cousin's in that same area, but I really never go there.

If anyone says subway or Jimmy Johns they should get a permanent ban. Jersey Mikes for me followed by Penn Station Not a fan of firehouse subs it is ok but way overpriced . View Quote All you guys that play the "I hate what everyone else likes" are hilarious. We like Jimmie Johns around here. You guys and your hole in the wall specialty sub shop I've never seen...lol |

Jimmy John's for a cold sub.
Penn Station for hot. I would kill for a Mr. Goodcents sub, but they all unassed the area about 10 yrs ago. |

View Quote I have a FireHouse around the corner and I've been twice in 7 years. Good sandwiches, high price. I've got a Subway and Quiznos and ehhh, I'll eat there, preferring the latter, but not often. GF has a Jimmy Johns and Subway near her and JJs OK. The best store made sub sandwich IMO is the Boar's Head Ultimate at PUBLIX supermarket. For $7.95, you get a 3 meat gut buster made with good quality deli meat, cheese and veggies. For a $1.50 less, you can get the regular deli meat Chris |

Firehouse and DiBellas
Edit: forgot about Charley's. Their sandwiches are great Everything else is gross |
|
|
JJ's, Penn Station, Potbelly. Used to be Subbie's around, not sure of they still exist. Subway kinda sucks IMO

Im all about the JJ lettuce wrap things.
but around if you dont want Subway, it's at least an hour to a JJ or other chain sub shop. |
|
Chicken Carbanara from Quiznos with their horseradish sauce is goid and the only thing I will get from there.

Subzone until they went out of business years ago. Now it's Publix, about 18 miles away. All we have locally is Subway.
