The only hat that I have that I wear right now (rarely) is my complimentary LaRue cap. It's actually a pretty nice hat other than the outline of Texas on it.

I've got really long hair, and the ladies seem to dig it, so I usually don't wear a hat.

However, when I do have a hat on, it's an OD green boonie, and occasionally there will be a pack of Marlboros and a Bic lighter stuck into the loops up top.

As much as I like the look and feel of a good fedora, I just can't pull off it off with out looking like a damn hipster.

I'm stuck using baseball caps, boonie hats, and hard hats.

My favorite one right now is my Tactical Tailor "operator cap" w/ either a US or Gadsden flag patch. I've worn it daily for about 16 months and it still looks brand new!

I wear a baseball cap a lot, however, I do enjoy wearing a fine fedora on occasions.

In my opinion, stay the hell away from the Trilbys. Its a type of fedora, but typically embraced by the hipsters.

Wear nice clothing when you wear the fedora. Dress slacks and a button up or a polo style usually works. Just don't do the whole jeans/tshirt combo, or you risk the 'hipster' look.

Myself? I'm a fat, young guy, and I've been told I pull off the fedora quite well.

I 'spose I'll be breaking my Panama hat out soon.

EDIT: I'm not a fashion guru. Take my words for what they're worth, not trying to start anything.

Regular or 'fitted' style baseball hats make me feel like my head is cooking unless it's a pretty cool day, and I can't bring myself to wear one of those big tall "trucker" caps...

Baseball caps usually... when I'm going to be outdoors for a long while (or if it's raining), I wear either a boonie or a western style hat. Winter calls for a watch cap.
