I'm holding off on buying more firearms right now too. I could probably afford a few, but I'm dumping all my money into ammo for now, and setting training goals.
Right now, I have:
CZ-52
M44 Mosin
Marlin 39A .22
The .22 I use mainly when I'm broke, or to hunt. I'm spending about $150 / month on ammo for the CZ and $50 on the Mosin. I have a friend who has leased me some land near me, which he doesn't need since he doesn't live nearby. It about 10 acres in a draw between a couple high hills, so i can safely shoot in 3 directions. I practice movement drills, firing from concealment, and I've even done a little firing from a moving vehicle. I figure once I can put 5 shots into a 6" circle from 15 yards, while moving to cover, It will be time to buy a "better" gun.
FWIW, my CZ-52 has had only a single hiccup, when one of the pins worked its way out. I tapped it back in and its never so much as had a hint of trouble.
