I only catch MMA matches while at the gym.  Every fight ends the exact same way: guy sits on other guy's chest and beats him into submission.  Boring.

I don't know, but you could take a 1987 Mike Tyson (or pick your other favorite world class heavyweight champion) and train him to be a world class MMA fighter in a year.  Basically just give him enough ground game to not make an ass of himself, and then he can just punch them hard enough to give them brain damage with those little gloves.  Especially back in the no gloves day.

You could take _no_ MMA fighter and train them to be a world class boxer in a year.

no

Yes.  There are two options:

a) Strikers are a complete fail in the UFC, you can not be a successful striker in the UFC.  Do you subscribe to this option?

b) There are strikers in the UFC who would be world class professional boxers, they just turn down the _millions_ they could be making.

Pick your poison.  The fact is that the absolute best UFC striker would get murdered in the boxing ring by even a middling professional boxer.

The fact is, you have apparently never seen Anderson Silva, GSP, Bones fight. They make millions.

I never said how well a UFC champion would fare in a boxing ring. But it's hilarious to think a boxer would become a world-class MMA fighter in a year. Jose Aldo would make Floyd Mayweather cry in a hypothetical MMA bout.

This is what we call a fallacy. You should avoid them when trying to make an argument.
