Around $1000 give or take a couple hundred.  Family of 5.  

That includes household items like toilet paper, detergent, etc.  We eat out once a week or so.


ETA   I should add that the way we eat doesn't allow for buying what's on sale and trying to keep to a budget that way.  The vast majority is made up of meats and produce.  If we ever decide to go back to *regular* eating I could slash our spending in half, easy.  He considers it a worthwhile investment in our health and doesn't have a problem with it.
