Remember when the Japanese were going to buy everything in the US and then own us?

.) BUYING AMERICA

Japanese investment in U.S. is generally healthy

Once the name Rockefeller was among the most hated in America. But times change. Now, the sale of 51 percent of Rockefeller Center in downtown Manhattan to Japanese buyers seems like another piece of America gone. No doubt Americans from all walks of life will recoil from the news as evidence that the nation is declining into a Japanese satellite.

Yup, we could pay china off in ten minutes if we wanted, but the thought of the repo man coming and taking Yellowstone is so much more logical

Boy some doesn't quite understand monetization of the debt. While not a great thing for anyone involved it will in fact pay off all the debt in 10 min

There is no such thing as 'monetization of the debt'.

Turn off the talk-radio idiocy.

Duh. In other words we are slaves, owned by a faceless upper, upper, upper class.

I'm pretty sure that you're being sarcastic here, but many here likely seriously hold this view. Here is my response to them. No. We're not slaves, because we are owned by our collective selves. Collectively, through government, we have not made good financial decisions. The whole situation is a lot more honest than you think it is. This should disturb you even more than your current view.
