Hot. I im that guy thats wearing a coat and long sleaves when its 75. I dont start to feel comfortable till its 85. I consider 100+ to be good outside working weather. My last months electric bill is something most of you would envy cause i very rarely run the A/C.

Well, I live in NC... all we have here is "hot/wet" and "cold/wet"... but I would rather be cold. Hot weather around here drains the life out of you and makes babies cry. My trenchcoat makes babies cry as well, but it looks awesome.

Heat don't bother me a bit - that's why I stay in Florida.  You yankees can keep your ice and snow.

On summer nights the temperature can get between 90 -100 indoors with windows open. Its a nightmare trying to sleep through that.

So I vote for the cold. Mind you our winters dont get much lower then 45, even at night.

I don't know why, but my body is like a furnace.  Not so much that I feel hot, although I would much prefer the cold.  But it's like my skin is hot to the touch.  When I'm sitting in one spot for very long, or in bed in one position, it's like whatever is against my skin gets uncomfortably warm.  If it's the least bit humid my side of the car fogs up like crazy.  I've never heard anyone else describe anything else quite like it, but it's really uncomfortable at time.

The chinese call it that ying and can be fixed by diet. I bet you eat alot of fried things and eat very little green vegetables or fruit. Also drinking too much cold beverage can cause this and meat. Women tend to have the opposite problem when they are imbalanced by diet and are cold.

That's funny, I'd say both are true.  I'm *constantly* drinking cold stuff.  Hmmm, I'll have to look into that.  I'd love to find some kind of solution.

I hate being hot - anything over about 75 sucks. This is a problem as my wife is Lebanese and hates anything under about 75 - makes for expensive utility bills year round.

If I'm cold I can always put on a coat. I have some pretty nice cold weather gear and I enjoy wearing it. If nothing else, it makes concealed carry that much easier (I could fit a 700 VLS under my Inverness). And (I hesitate to say this because it comes close to an admission that I have emotions) there is something comforting about hearing the furnace come on in the middle of a dark winter night.

Summer however is sweaty, smelly & sticky (like good sex but without the fun part). I'm sitting here in the bare minimum amount of clothing allowable for someone that's as unattractive as myself and it's still too dang hot!

The human body is 98.6 degrees.  You can live for years in searing heat with only an adequate supply of water, buck naked.  You'll die in a matter of minutes in minus zero temps without extensive clothing, heat sources, and preparation.  The human body was never meant to live in extreme cold and is poorly adapted to it.  Cold sucks.

In all fairness 115 deg just plain sucks but I can still function

However, 3 degrees is fucking painful once you are used to 115. As the wife and I discovered the one time we visited PA in January.

We do not miss PA winters......at all.

I've lived in the North all my life, you NEVER EVER get used to the cold. At least if it is 120 degrees outside, you don't have to worry about your body parts falling off like you do if you get frost bit.

Cold.

I have often quoted a scene from the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol to my secretary:

Scrooge:  Mr. Cratchit!

Cratchit:  The fire's gone cold, Mr. Scrooge.

Scrooge:  Come over here, Mr. Cratchit.

Scrooge:   What is this?

Cratchit:  A shirt.

Scrooge:  And this?

Cratchit:  A waistcoat.

Scrooge:  And this?

Cratchit:  A coat.

Scrooge:   These are garments, Mr. Cratchit.

Scrooge:  Garments were invented by the human race as a protection against the cold.

Scrooge:  Once purchased, they may be used indefinitely for the purpose for which they are intended.

Scrooge:  Coal burns. Coal is momentary and coal is costly. There will be no more coal burned in this office today, is that quite clear, Mr. Cratchit?

Cratchit: Yes, Sir.

Scrooge: Now please get back to work before I am forced to conclude that your services here are no longer required.
