Why is it that you always see pictures of dudes in state 'militias' that look like they couldn't carry a backpack a mile, much less participate in dismounted infantry combat? I think these groups would be respected a little more if they were more uniformed (wore matching shit), and had physical fitness standards and grooming standards.
Wouldn't they do better at recruiting new members and being actually prepared to do whatever it is they plan on doing if they were more fit, and actually trained instead of comparing barska scoped- mosins and eating donuts? |

Profile them, they feel insecure. They are attracted to that genre because it makes them feel important. So you will always have a ton of them, literally
 .And the rest will be made up of insecure misfits. They can be important in that setting. Maybe not all them but a WHOLE BUNCH OF THEM. I am not a militia guy, but consider myself having prepper tendancies. I am 6'3 225, maybe I am just a misfit, I don't know. For the record I have no problem with them getting their militia on as long as they ain't shootin at me.  |

At least they are willing to do something and generally are on the side against big government. What's the problem?
They don't have to hump tons of shit, and can squat behind some cover and sling lead if'n it ever comes to a shooting war on our turf. And maybe provide you a little cover after the enemy hits the easy targets first

I know a few people in a militia/prepper group they aren't vocal about it but I can say they aren't fat.
I notice the vocal ones tend to be fat where the ones who want to be the gray man tend to not get noticed. |

One semi-fattie that was former .mil. My guess would also be that some of the fatter ones believe the gear and weapons makes them feel more dangerous and use it to attention whore which is why you might see more of them in pitchers? Maybe anyway. |

Last time I checked, a bullet fired from the shoulder of a obese man kills with the same effectiveness than that fired off the shoulder of a skinny child. obviously they have been "prepping" for the possibility of an extended engagement, with no chances of being resupplied with food. these patriots can easily go a month, (or more) fighting the good fight, living off of their fat reserves alone. they slake their thirst on a few sips of water taken from the dew on leaves, early in the morning.
