do it
crabby is going to be crabby no matter what you do, so you might as well do something you want to do. also, pet your dog for me. |

This thread is also known as why I don't like you.
I support your position, however. I've found to spite the anti-gunners and FBH0 to be the most motivating thing in this world. |

You're a good man Fluffy, now sell me a garand! I'm in Edmonton. And if you even wanna sell one let me know.

Come on down here, you sound like good folk.
Fuck canada. Ok just their silly laws, Canadians are cool tho |

We are living in an era of $500 ARs. NOW is the time to get one for your kids, and to get your friends into them.
An AR in every safe, and an AK in every trash can! |

I am very, very close to assembling a Beretta Garand. I am awaiting one final part. It is going to be a very beautiful rifle. It will have a Beretta receiver and a Beretta bolt. The operating rod will be a Beretta and so will the gas cylinder, gas cylinder lock and gas plug screw. The rear sight assembly is all Beretta; however, the front sight is American. The internal parts are all American as is the clip latch. The barrel is a .30-06 Krieger. |

Operating rods are here. The stock is in Edmonton. By the end of the week, my first Beretta will be ready. |

OUTSTANDING!
I have 4 currently on hand just in case I need to shoot something 8 times at 400yds, through a 12" tree, off hand, with iron sights. Just because I can. :) |

If only I had the funds to build as many guns and help as many dogs as you. I know my GSD has an ear infection, but gotta wait until next weeks paycheck to take her in to get meds. Already got reprieve from my landlord about being 2 weeks late on rent to get her taken care of.

I tried to send you a reply IM in the last Garand thread. You must be very popular since yours was full. Good luck on the life mission of making garands. I have six, but I still feel the siren's call of Anniston for "just one more". You must have a massive ammo stockpile to feed 40 Garands. I would need 50k +in clipped ammo to feel comfortable. I am kind of an ammo nut though. I hope that you get them all built and that I get to compare them to one of my CMP purchases one day. I hope that this thread doesn't turn into a pissing match.

I forgot to mention that my buddy Robert has parkerized some of my receivers for me. I now have ten receivers that are like new. And I sent six more to him yesterday. The six that I sent yesterday have some nicks on them. The nicks are located mainly on the operation rod rails. With a little stoning or polishing combined with a little sandblasting, these six can be reparkerized and salvaged. I also counted and I have one more receiver than I thought I had. |

I've seen AR receivers for $39 recently....
You know what AR should stand for? American Rifle, because we sould all have one or two (maybe 10?!?) Good on you Fluffy. We all know gun bans aren't about our safety. |
|
I think Ruger's next rifle should be the mini-m1 in 223. they could make little clips and everything. it'd be so cute!

10-24 threaded rod. Super glue. 2-part epoxy. Not as pretty as a Garand. But still...
|
|
I will take your offer of a Beretta receiver. I juat have to figure out how to get past Canadian Customs. What do I bribe them with? Poutine covered Tim Horton Donuts with a bag of milk to wash it all down?

Everyone here knows that recently I've been on a Garand binge. I wasn't sure why, but today I realize what motivates me. We lived through the gun registry and it was a dark point in Canadian history. So the chance to build a firearm without government interference is something incredibly liberating. I read that Obungo would not allow the importation of Korean Garands into the United States because he "did not want military grade weapons out on the streets" Well that is exactly what I want. After I die, I want dozens of Garands to be out on the streets. I want to flood Canadian streets with military grade weapons. I want to be the Johnny Appleseed of the Garand M1. That's why I am going to buy another 25 receivers tomorrow. And heaven help me, I will have each and every one of them built into a rifle. Finally, I would exhort every one of my arfcom brethren to build as many firearms as possible. Whether an AR-15, a Garand or whatever. Build the best weapons possible and do it for future generations. Do it for the children. View Quote |

All the parts arrived and I tried to finish the assembly of my first Beretta. But the op rod failed the tilt test. I don't have the patience to mess with it. So I boxed the entire thing up and sent it to my friend Robert. He will tinker with it and assemble it for me. I also have a second rifle kit to sent him today. But we are close..... So stand by for Maria. |
