Back when Pulp fiction was in the theatres I went to see it three times and the local ghetto-dwellers invariably brought their kids, aged baby through 10, to the film.

You don't become gay by watching gay movies, your kids won't become gay when they read open minded books like "I have two mommies" or whatever.

Gay people are wired differently, it's a biological thing. You can't unlearn, or learn homosexual behavior.

I think the only gay "agenda" is to not be prejudiced against and beat/killed for being who they are. So what if some other guy likes men. It's not like what they do will somehow make poontang less enjoyable to yourself, unless all you gay bashers are just really deep in the closet or something.

Though i support gay people's rights to be left alone and do what they want, i'm personally not comfortable with gay behavior, and as such will not go see brokeback mountain. It's one thing to "be" gay - it's another to "act" gay.

Controlling one's dysfunctional behavior does not mean one has to stop "being" dysfunctional.

For example, a schizophrenic will always "be" a schizophrenic even if they can control their disorder through medication and counseling.

Successfully treating many mental disorders does not mean you must fundementally "change" that person into a "normal" person - it means they must learn to control (either through medication or therapy or both) their abnormal inclinations and behaviors.

They say you can't "cure" a pedophile - they will ALWAYS be sexually aroused by children. All you can do is try to control their behaviors.

As far as gays, IMO if a person can be "cured" of being gay through therapy - they probably weren't "born" gay but rather "taught" to be gay through certain experiences during critical developmental periods of their lives.

At this point in your life as a sexually-mature adult, you're MUCH more "fixed" in your sexual identity than a child is.

YOU as an adult may not "turn gay" by constant repepative exposure to normalized homosexual images and ideas, but psychologically - children are much different, and much more "malleable".

The examples I gave how children who grow up with abnormal sexual experiences in childhood tend to demonstrate abnormal sexual expressiveness as adults bear this out.

Sexuality is clearly a combination of genetic, environmental and cultural factors.
