A reasonable position. But, there have been enough abuses of 'no knock' raids (including the occasional raid on the WRONG LOCATION!!) that I believe that this particular police power should be under tighter restriction.
I would absolutely support ANY measure that puts the rare but problematic "jackbooted government thug" on a short leash and forcibly prohibits him from committing the types of infringements on the citizen's rights that gave him a bad name.

THAT is the voice of evil. Or socialism. Same thing, different face.
In MY opinion, a "no knock raid" IS an infringement of the fourth amendment because I consider it to be unreasonable.
Note that I am NOT opposed to raids by forced entry. I'm not even THAT much against the pure concept of a surprise raid, if executed properly, but there have been MORE than enough screwups that they need to be brought under control.
This is particularly true given the highly abusive tactics that have been used by raiders in situations that have sometimes been well publicized.
Yes, you can and probably will say that these tactics are necessary to ensure the safety of the raid participants, and I say, NO, THEY"RE NOT. Not in every case, anyway.
The fact is that there are a few really aggressive, pushy cops running around who won't hesitate to use excessive force in the form of a raid, or other means. They get their jollies by doing it. Anything that puts them on a short leash (or better yet, in the unemployment line) is a good thing.
