My beer tastes have been running to the exotic these days.  I can't tolerate the usual domestics anymore (they give me terrible headaches after a couple).

I just finished a couple of Maredsous Triple Abbey Ales.  10 percent alcohol, quite a kick.  Gotta switch now, I only had two. (They are 8 bucks each!)

Got Abita Amber and TurboDog, Grolsch Amber and a few Hoegaarden...

ETA: I know Abita is a Louisiana microbrew, but it's still good stuff!

Have you ever had an Ottakringer Dubbel?  It's Austrian, and I've never seen it in the US, but it was my favorite while I was there.

I was a loooonng time Bud drinker until about 20 years ago.  Do you remember when you could tell what brewery Bud came from?  Williamsburg was the best!  We would make the storeowner let us in the walk-in to look for Williamsburg Bud!  Jacksonville (FL) was the worst...

ETA:  Oops. my age is showing...  Most of you probably won't remember that!

Always wanted to try that, but I just don't have the room where I live.  It would probably be worth it just to get a good Porter.  I don't really like the traditional English Porters, but there are a few microbrews out there that are excellent but hard to find.  I like Rogue Mocha and Highland Oatmeal. (brewed right here in NC!)

+1 on the Newcastle.  It's my go-to beer at bars when they have nothing interesting.  Got a six in the pantry, but they are hot...

No favorite, but the imports I prefer are:

Beck's Dark
Carlsberg Elephant Malt
EKU 28
Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse
Guiness Stout
Kirin Ichiban
Mackeson Triple-X Stout (the real deal, not the fake domestic crap)
Murphy's Stout
Negra Modelo
Newcastle Brown Ale
Paulaner Oktoberfest-Märzen
Pilsner Urquell
Samuel Smith's (Nut Brown Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Pale Ale, Taddy Porter)
San Miguel Dark
Spaten (Oktoberfest, Premium Lager, and Optimator)

Lately, I have lost interest in microbrews due to their high starch content and generally unrefined character (more starch, more farts ).

And I've rediscovered Coors, the beer of choice during my poor student years.

Not that it makes any difference, but since it's shown up a couple of times in this thread, just have to note:

George Killian's "Irish Red" = tasty (yes), imported (no)

It's a Coors product, imported all the way from Golden, CO.

But, as I said, doesn't really matter.

Domestic: Red Hook ESB (almost exclusively anymore)

Imports, in approximate order:

Spaten Optimator
Dos Equis
Guiness

..guess I'm pretty easy to please!
(though it can be kind of tough to find Spaten beers around here, which I find odd, because I'm five miles from one of the largest Army bases in the US--)
