I drive a 4x4 dodge diesel quad cab.
The cummins engine is a bit "worked". Makes for a good sleeper. Torque out the ass!! |

Quoted: '98 Mercury Tracer, no extra body work, but I tuned the engine and added a chip, 224 HP. View Quote Was that measured off the dyno, or from what the packaging claimed? Quoted: 1999 Ford Mustang GT convertible. ... K&N filter charger, etc... View Quote Sounds like a pretty nice car (and one I'd love to have), but.. What's a "Filter Charger"? Some kind of filter for a supercharger, or just a fancy name for a filter? |

My daily drive - '92 Jeep Cherokee.
But I didn't see anything remotely like that in the poll, so I voted 'other'! Eric The(Jeep-Jeep)Hun[>]:)] |

1985 K10 with 6.2L diesel, 4-speed, no lift, 31" BFGs. 270K miles, doesn't burn oil, averages 20mpg, and doesn't need the block heater down to -10F or so. No stereo, AC isn't charged, no high speed on the heater motor, and the vacuum pump is weak so it takes forever for the diverter door to switch to "defrost."

A real sleeper that keeps on sleeping...a '79 Zephyr wagon. Blue by Ford, brown by nature. Variable geometry steering, floor ventilation, Kraco sound system AND 200 cubic inches of 30W smoking raw power. Its been in the family a long time, OK? With 210,000 miles on it, I think it may make a one-way trip to the bulletfest. [;)]

5isalive, i love it. the R/t comes loaded so it has power everything, leather, 4 disk in dash changer, sunroof, 17 inch wheels. it is comfortable and fun to drive. has 200 HP stock so it has some balls. i drive it pretty hard so i am ripping through the tires. i rotated the tires at 6000 miles and there wasnt much tread left on those front ones. i think that will be the only negative thing about it. having to buy 17 inch tires quite often. the brakes are still good but some one told me it goes through them fast 2. that will be 4 sets of disk pads at a shot. never had 4 -wheel disk brakes. :) its very similar to the eclipse.(actually i think they have the same dash boards) it has a lot of mitsubishi parts but atleast its a dodge/chrysler.
sorry about the rambling. hope that made sense. [:)] |

All GMC in our household..
(3) S-15 Jimmy's ('91,'93,'95), (2) Sierra Trucks ('99 3/4T & '97 1/2T Ext Cabs). Here in MN, all are 4x4 as well. All have been excellent for us. The '93 Jimmy has over 260K miles.. replaced transmission @ 240K, all else is original. Other Jimmy's are both over 100K and going strong. Will most likely be adding a new Yukon or Envoy to the fleet this fall. Bravo5-2 |

Quoted: Yum, a straight EMD SD40... Don't forget the duct tape and paper towels to seal up the cracks around the cab doors... I would have thought your preference would have been a nice Dash 9 or SD70MAC with those nice quiet widecabs. View Quote I don't know if I can put my finger on it, but even among the high tech safety cabs, there is just some sort of innate quality about those older Spartan cab SDs and GPs that seems to make them the quintessential North American freight locomotive. It seems like I rarely if ever hear fellow rails grumbling about having one on the head end. The SD70MACs are nice and are my favorite safety cab locomotive. They are quiet, comfortable, smooth riding, and the AC traction pulls like a motherf*****. Because of their superior traction, they are almost exclusively assigned to coal service. And being as Washington State isn't exactly coal country, they aren't seen very often around here. I had the opportunity to get to know them while working coal trains in Texas in Minnesota, though. As for the Trash 9s, I've learned to tolerate them and that's about it. They load slow, ride rough, and seem cheaply built. I'd personally rather have a good old SD40-2 or GP38-2 any day. |

Volvo V70 Stationwagon BABY!!!
It's like a freakin' TARDIS - you can fit anything in it! I bought it two years when I decided I would only buy cars that were built by attractive people [:D] - so it's Volvo and Saab for me from now on. Now I just need one of those soccermom stickers! |
