I would take a CZ 550 American Safari Magnum in 375H&H with a Lupy scope. One shot, one kill (hopefully).

.45/70 minimum

From the horses mouth so to speak.

That said 45-70 just doesn't go well with the word minimum.

If you want to be sucessful, a legendary creature needs to be hunted with legendary firearms: Winchester model 1892 carbine backed up by a Colt 1873 peacemaker.

Both in 44/40 of course.

I just got a marlin 1895 GS, 45-70gov for a bear hunt, so I figure it would be good for some big footses, as they can be the same size as a bear.

405gr going 1600 fps, and .458" would do the job.

Why would you want to kill a bigfoot? If you are going to hunt it, you should try to tranquilize it. Not kill it. So use a tranq gun. (They are better than the water guns)

UNLESS.

Hitting it with the tranq gun just pisses it off.
AND IT IS PISSED OFF AT YOU.

Then: Run!     RUNRUNRUNRUNRUN!!!!!
