VTAC two-point quick-adjust with HK style hooks.

I use it with a CQD receiver plate, and it makes for a nice one point to two conversion (with forward mount on rail)

Edit for pg2 pwnage

I go without.

It just catches on stuff and it's not like I'm out on road marches with it.

How else am I going to look cool at the range though

Just
a plain old IDF sling. They are comfy as heck, perform an admirable job
of keeping a rifle from hitting the floor if you let go of it, and are
cheap.

DSG used to sell a version of them too, but I order from Zahal from time to time. Some neat little stuff there.

Cool, I'll pick a couple up

It really is too bad that there's not a sling forum.

A sling forum is a really good idea....you might be onto something.

Hmmm...

Tell me more about this sling forum idea, this might really go somewhere.

Lol, yes I know that there is a sling forum but I was looking for the "latest thing" and figured that the topic would get more exposure here in GD.

I have VTAC, VCAS and MS3's.  I've also got an MS2, but they aren't wide enough.

Currently the MS3 is mounted on my issue rifle.

Well, head-to-toe camouflage, of course.

Yeah, and I guess I gotta start talking with my hands like I'm driving a rifle tactical weapons platform too.

Right now I'm running the Magpul for ease of switching between 1 and 2 point.

My favorite is one i made. It's about 24" of tubular nylon with a steel ring and a small shackle. Cost all of about 4 bucks. Simple and bullet proof.

I have a small frame and the Gear Sector single point did not work for me. The rifle hung way too low. Then I got an MS3, I love it.

I got a Troy single point on my MSAR STG556, nothing for my AR15 yet.

I'm just an armchair commando but I like the Troy 2-pt padded battle sling with a quick detach sling mount up front at 9 o'clock and and a VTAC A2 buttstock sling adapter in the back.

You just pick the gun up by the pistol grip and slip your head under this nice wide opening, then the pad rests on your right shoulder and the gun is at low ready, easy to pull up and fire quickly.

A couple of little dips of the shoulder under the sling and you can move the gun to around your back.  You can pull the gun from around you back and fire easily as well without getting tangled up.

It also supports and controls the weight of my heavy guns very nicely like that.  Very comfy.

Do you know Giles background?

Not saying that it is wrong, but with the global war on terror, we have learn a whole lot about what it takes to use a slinged AR in homes to shoot people.  Thoughts may have changed since the 70's police training.

Rainier Arms single point right now, we'll see how well it works with a plate carrier. I may branch out, may not. For now I'm very happy with it.
