As for population control, seems the "durr, it's yoooo-genics!" crowd has some internal inconsistency.  If you spit out 7 kids you can't take care of then they either die (nobody's going to put up with that) or Uncle Sam takes care of them.  So if you're against any kind of population control, and I don't mean forced sterilization, then you're for big government.



I don't know if you've noticed who's breeding the most, but it's not well educated people who raise 2-3 decent children.  We should be offering sterilization as an alternate sentence for child neglect, and charging a shitload more people who can't take care of their kids with child neglect.  We should give out condoms and contraceptives like candy.



Our current population growth patterns are incompatible with our standard of living.



If you want a preview of what happens in 100 years, how about we just open our borders with Mexico and let maybe 40 million of their poorest people come into our country.
