Around here people who show up, know what they are doing and bathe are kinda hard to find now. TMobile opened a nearby call center, supposed to be better pay, but Id lose $200 in free services here plus my 401k match so I make more here in the end |

There ya go. It's an honest job that pay better than most in his area. I have the utmost respect for the guys that help my dumbass get thru a tech problem. I have less for thos that solcit my money. Having grown up in an economically depressed area, I understand the plight. Maybe Taxman will be a better supervisor given the chance. I say only snitch if it directly affaects you. Other wise only snitch if you have a love for the company or can make it AND you better by doing so. |

I havn't read the replies but this is my opinion. I know this situation sucks but you do work in a call center. I would not involve myself in someone elses life in that way. Loosing a job could flip a switch on someone and you would be the one on the recieveing end of hatred. If your boss doesn't know enough to watch the employees, I say keep working. It only makes you look good for being an example of a hard worker and the boss won't think that you will rat him (the boss) out. Most bosses know what they will and will not put up with. Besides, we all have a life and work is just what we do 9-5. Or maybe being in the structural engineering field has jaded me.. Who knows, the employee my have an inside track and you maybe looked at as a rat. Nobody likes a rat. |

I don't get all the hate. Taxman has a slack worker and has to pick up his slack. Most people here bitch when they have to pick up the slack via welfare ect, what's the differance here. Why should he mind his own business and do his job for him. Better yet, why don't y'all volenteer to fill in for someone so they can go fuck off!!!!
Granted the boss should recogize the fuck offs, and that's the reason fuck off's survive in the job market but that doesn't mean he should sit there and take it up the ass. I work with a bunch of lazy blabber mouths myself, it's made me very cynical when I hear excuses about poor service because "we are shorthanded". Not that long ago someone died that called 911 because they were "shorthanded". Turns out THERE WERE 7 OF THEM ON "BREAK" TOGETHER!!!! THe lazy beyothes I work with can't go to the bathroom without taking a friend with them to wipe there ass, work be damned, AND THIS IS THE SUPERVISORS!!! THe next time y'all are on hold for an hour trying to get customer service just console yourself with the notion that at least nobody is squealing with the lazy fuckoff that is supposed to be taking calls!!! |

I'm a workforce manager in a call center so I monitor how many butts are in the seats and plugged into the phones compared to the number of calls coming in and waiting in queue..There is a direct relationship between the number of people off the phone on lunch, working offline, napping in the break room, or talking to 14 y.o. on myspace (seen it) and the amount of time that you, the customer, have to wait to get help. Hey, but as long as nobody is getting snitched on and you don't have anything better to do than wait on the phone for a 1/2 hour its all good right?
If you guys knew how many FMLA and Short Term Disability cheats and all around fuckups you were supporting with your increased costs in order to let them nap on the job (so nobody gets called a snitch) you'd probably be walking the aisle with a clipboard and a whistle pointing these people out |

How much are they matching? These days, probably not much. And wouldn't you get free services from TMobile? Heck, if good employees are so hard to find, why not tell TMobile how much it'll take to get you to switch, and see what they say? |

50% of what I put in , I get comission, overall its relaxed. I do some work, get to post here during slow times and no one says a word about me doing it. Cable/phone/internet discount saves me $200, cell phone would save me $50 Not worth losing what I have to lose some senority and knowhow I built up to make $1 an hour more |

I do support, I fix stuff, I reconnect you when you dont pay. I take general bitching calls and resolve things. I do not call you unless you ask I call you back for a valid reason. 99% of my calls are inbound, others are callbacks for technical or billing reasons. I'll sell you stuff if you ask for it, I'll sell you faster internet packages, other channels, or phone features, IF you call and ask about them, otherwise I wont try and sell anything. |
