Thanks you guys...Yeah I never bought into that whole African American thing..I am an American and very proud to be so...I don't buy into that whole back to Africa thing--we would be treated worse over there then here...I try to explain it constantly but there is a huge difference between blacks and Africans.. It is another ploy (hyphenating names etc) to keep us separated as Americans...I try everything in my power to make sure "they" don't succeed.. I am proud of my country and I am tired of people like CNN and Obama trying to fuck it up... Sorry-I am ranting again huh? |

I love it how a few black people make all of them seem to me horrible people who murder and rape people on a daily basis. When I see a whole town stand behind racist action (aka jena 6) it leave an imprint my white mind. They have mob mentality and it seems to always have a racist tone. They all seem to include "african" into the American part of their identity. I thnk that their presence in america has been long enough to remove any african. Last I heard 50% of africa is dying of AIDS because they are too f-n stupid to not have sex with every other ting that walks by. Sleep with a virgin, it cures aids.. burn the witches who shrank my tootle..... sh!t like that. I dont feel sorry for them (blacks) or mexicans or whites, or canadians for that reason. EVERYONE has the same oppurtunities here in this country and thats all I care about. You have a public education, minimum wage, and 24 hours a day. |

If you mean "he is one of us" as all of us being supporters of Obama like HK shooter, then no, he is not one of us in my opinion. HK Shooter outed himself a few weeks back as an Obama koolaid drinker in a thread here in GD on arfcom. Also, the implication that because HK Shooter is black it would somehow make him expertly knowledgeable about black ghettos is the equivalant of saying that because I'm white then I'm an expert at knowing about all things associated with living in a trailer park

Some people get special benefits just because they are black. It was very sad what happened to their ancestors, but that was a very long time ago and the people that want benefit now from what happened to their ancestors, could not even begin to describe what slavery would be like. A lot have an entitlement attitude and they just keep passing it down the generation line.
What would the struggle be in this day in age? There are many successful, happy, black people who are not struggling because instead of wanting everything handed to them they work hard for what they have. Does racism still exist, why yes it does, but blacks are not the only ones that have to deal with racism. Some blacks hate whites, blacks, Hispanics, etc. Some Hispanics hate whites, blacks, Hispanics, etc. Some whites hate whites, black, Hispanics, etc. If someone hates me for being me, well that is their problem not mine! |

It's difficult to resist posting in this thread. Living in the ghetto for two years and coming from a rather sheltered youth, I was terrified on a daily basis. But you know who I caught the most shit from? Mexicans. I've never seen so much messed up stuff in my life until I lived there. At work, my friends would just laugh and say that "that's nothing," etc.
