America has no moral compass anymore

Problem with that is, morals are subjective.

The vast, vast majority of morals aren't.  You will be very hard pressed to fine a culture that lauds adultery and lying.

The majority of voting Americans just voted into office a liar, years earlier they put an adulterer and liar in office.

As far as adultery goes?  Most Americans don't have a problem with pre marital sex.  There are levels of adultery in they eyes of many.

Sleeping with a woman or man to whom you're not married when you're both single.
Sleeping with someone with an inprocess divorce after seperation.
Sleeping with someone thats seperated.
Sleeping with someone that's being abused or is in a horrible unhappy marriage.
Sleeping with a woman that just wants something on the side.
Cheating on your spouse because you just want something physically better.

The moral delimma here comes in when you're picking which level the immorality starts.  Most people, not all, but most won't see banging a girlfriend as bad as banging your wife's sister. Though technically, they're both adultery.

Probably 95% of arfcom is moderately liberal.  They have no concept of personal freedom beyond their personal applications for it.  "DON'T touch my guns, but ban smoking in restaurants, fuck the fact that it's private property, and ban tattoos while you're at it, only scum get tattoos.   Oh, and fuck the police, they're just the jack booted strong arm brown shirts from the military industrial complex."

I think a lot of this misunderstanding comes from people saying something like "tattoo's are trashy" and not following it up with "but I support people's rights to get them".  I personally am not overly fond of tattoo's, I have a lot of friends with them, but I would never get one myself.  The average person I see with a tattoo looks like a gangbanger from the south side.  Then again, I live in San Antonio and that actually IS who I'm seeing, just turn on our news sometime .  Thanks to what I see frequently, I wouldn't want to be associated with that trash (the hood rats from the south) and I have a bad habit of making general statement like "tattoo's are trashy"...because on MANY people they are.  On the other hand, I've seen some awesome ones before that I really liked, and I have plenty of tattoed friends.  If it makes you feel any better, the other night I watched my friend get dermal anchors put in.  I think it was a poor use of her money (she's been bitching about how little money she makes for a while now) and was stupid because of where she stands in life right now...but it WAS quite cool to watch!  I support virtually no legislation that would restrict much of anything that doesn't cause overt harm to others.  Want to fuck yourself up in a thousand different ways?  Go right on ahead!

well put. I think just simple lack of stating causes a lot of people to think that the poster meant something that they actually did not.

Can't, that requires one to have responsibilty. And why have responsibility when you can just get on the internet and bitch about people not having morals?

I swear not a day goes by where more and more people don't sound like liberals!

The website charges 5 credits for a priority message.  Males can send "virtual" gifts to females, but that also requires credits.  To send a "virtual" tiffany necklace costs 50 credits.

People say gay marriage will destroy the institution of marriage, to late,

Divorce is the strongest argument towards the disolutionment of marriage. If Man Wife marriage is having at least a 50% divorce rate––and its a sacred institution––that institution if simply and fundamentally broken.

ITs no fault of government that divorce is so high.

And in a free enterprise society, AshlyMadison has its place.

I don't want to go defending something like Ashley Madison, but we are SUPPOSED to have separateion of Church and State in America. It's what protects you from having to wear a turban when Muslims gain majority in government. The government's job in marriage is to recognize that yours exists, the religious part is up to you.

And I thought mysugardaddy.com was bad

The morality of America is crap. This is what happens when the hippies run the country. I am so tired of seeing "take this to make your dick bigger" commercials, and now they are getting even worse. Instead of hinting at it (like the smiling bob commercials) they come out and talk about how much more they like having sex/making love. Its disgusting... Wouldn't you love to be the parent who has to explain to their kid what the dick expansion pills are? And what they mean about sack full of pride?

Sorry, but that's not the case.  Everybody may not like what you do with your personal freedom, but that doesn't mean they're trying to restrict it.   You're welcome to smoke, although I believe it's a retarded thing to do. You're welcome to bang lots of women, but not everybody will think it's moral. Doesn't mean they want to restrict it.  Drinking destroys a lot of lives. I can't think of a single member here who has seriously suggested banning it.  Pornography is indentified as a major catalyst in infidelidious marriages––Nobody's trying to stop you from watching that, either.

Arfcom, as a majority, is full of people who believe that others have the right to do what they want, as long as it does not effect them and theirs.  Arfcom is NOT full of anarchists.

Smoking inside McDonalds does effect them and theirs.  Not everybody wants to be subjected to your tar and nicotine.  This is an example of when your personal freedom directly effects the health of someone else.

Liberty != Anarchy.

My Opinion != your opinion.

It is possible to have a differing opinion on someone else about a topic, but still support that topic. For instance; I do not like marijuana. I don't think people should do it, for their own health. However, I do not believe it should be illegal.  So I would vote to legalize marijuana, so one can make their own choices as to whether or not they wish to engage in smoking pot.  A stoner would vote to legalize marijuana, just because he wants to smoke and not get busted by the popo.

While we may not see eye to eye on what it is you'd like to do with your life, doesn't make mine or anybody elses' less valid than yours.

Edit: Additionally, reality does not push morality out of the way.  Having a conscience does not make you a liberal.  Having morals does not make you a liberal.

Having neither makes you a sociopath.

I don't see where the government has a duty to either recognize, or provide incentive of any marriage. But they do.

I believe the "duty" falls under the IRS codes.
