The bullseye pistol list has it at Camp Perry durring the National Championships.  They had about 200 people show up for their picnic out of about 1000 on the list.  Most of the people didn't look anything like I pictured them.  Anyone shooting High Power at Perry.  Have a get together there.

Quoted: VEGAS !!!  Not only do we have more than enough ranges (indoor and outdoor), casinos, cheap hotel rates and airfares we also have FRONT SIGHT!! I'm sure they would be stoked about hosting it!

Art Bell could be guest speaker.

LotBoy...great suggestion :)

Why not an AR-15 get-together scheduled at the same time as the next Vegas gun show?

Regional meetings of board members makes sense, methinks.

In all seriousness, Frontsight does sound good. I wonder what it would cost per day, and if we'd have an area all to ourselves?
Here's what I'd like to do:
1. shoot
2. have a class or two re: firearms/tactics
3. shop - maybe some of the AR15.com vendors
4. do a group donation to a local needy group by raising money from a contest entry fee or bringing some durable item to donate.
5. I hardly drink at all, don't gamble Vegas style, and I'm not interested in women flashing their titties at me if it involves money. I get plenty for free from my wife.
6. I don't like to sit inside forever, so something outside (besides shooting) would be nice. Hey, I'd run a wilderness survival course  for interested folks. You can save a night's hotel rent and sleep out in your shelter.
7. Maybe someone to demo home-sized machining tools (another vendor?), and let folks make something small - picatinney rail? DIAS (just joking!!!!!!!)[stick]
8. At least one political deal. Maybe do a mass signing of a petition to be sent to politicians, news agencies, etc.

Contact PASA park between Quincy,Il and Hannibal,MO. Excellent shooting facilities plus large meeting hall. Family would also enjoy sights of Hannibal-Mark Twains hometown. VERY shooter friendly area with plenty of lodgeing and restaurants available.

Wherever the meeting is, good luck boarding a commercial aircraft with a bag o' guns and ammo. I think the ammo would be banned outright, and the weapons would get a lot of attention.

I like the idea of Vegas (or Reno) for an informal shoot that is a day before or after a interesting trade / gun show.

Although it would be nice to have a single show, the idea of regional meetings is a good one.

Maybe one day shooting, one day riding motorcycles?

How about the center of North America. Rugby North Dakota (No kidding a real tourist attraction). 60 miles from my house, I think I could make that trip. Couldn't be anymore centrally located than that. Good Luck!!!

Ya, I'd like to see the convention in St. Louis.
I'd like to see people pay real money to attend said convention.
Then I'd like to see Goatboy and EdAvilaSr take said money and then try to tell people what they can or can not say - in THAT town. [}:D]

Naw, on second thought, take the convention elsewhere. St. Louis has no appreciation for the Liberal thought/speech police.

Understand this - when St. Louisians see some Jew/Christian/American hating type with a diaper wrapped around his head, they know what to call him, and they respect the right to speek freely in public. Because the enemy don't get no respect - in olde St. Lou.
