Nothing. If you can't get all you need from the surplus of food that we have then you've got bigger problems. The supplement/bodybuilding market is 99% snake oil. Why else do you think it's worth $38 billion?

So things like whey, creatine, BCAAs, etc account for less than 1% of the supp/bodybuilding market? No one disputes that there is an abundance of gimmicky shit, but your statement is laughable.

Vitamins, anti-oxidants and stuff do more harm than good if you eat a normal diet. Your body makes way more endogenous anti-oxidants, catalytic ones that can be reused, than you could possible eat. When you add extra it down-regulates your endogenous response. You want to UP-regulate it with polyphenols not down-regulate it with vitamin pills. Eat plenty of garlic, cinnamon, peppers, spices, berries, fruit, cruciferous veggies, red wine, dark beer, coffee, fermented probiotics, prebiotics and you're good.

http://nautil.us/issue/15/turbulence/fruits-and-vegetables-are-trying-to-kill-you

ETA: and don't juice either. Eat it whole motherfucker! The polyphenols and prebiotics are in the skin!

I don't know.  I take it for the detoxification/glutathione precursor properties along with NAC, ALA, and selenium and you can't really feel it.

I read that it's also used for joint health and mood stabilization, but I don't have a problem with either of those.

Beef-based protein

I buy all of my supps besides the fish oil, multi, and Glucosamine in pure powdered form - much cheaper and less dilluted than off-the-shelf products from nutrition stores.

I don't eat at fast food and don't eat at many deli's. But I'll try to remember that.

You get "da fuuuuu" looks when you order three unborn chickens over easy with oinker ass strips. They are delicious.

I'm in the sun a few hours every day. But I guess I don't convert sun beamz to D3 very well. I tested just over low range. When I added D3 sup, I noticed a huge change in my energy and alertness within a week. A few months later, I started taking a suplement called Cypionate... Mind blown.

Some people don't get what they need from eating. Try and tell me sups are snake oil, I'll tell you to go suck snake ass.

Unless your diet consists of fast food 2x a day, that is very very excessive. There's studies showing the harm in this as well.

Protein powder

Over the years I have also periodically used
Green Tea Extract
Yohimbe
A few different T Boosters
Probably a few other random things that I didn't see the need to continue taking.

I take one of my kids Flintstones vitamins daily.  Wife used to give me crap about it until I compared her one a day vitamins to the Flintstones.  The Flintstones had 100% RDA of everything hers had plus some more.

Most processed foods out there today have had the real nutrition processed out of them, and some of them added back in. I'd rather make sure I get what I need.

ETA: some, like D3, we don't get enough of in modern society.
