No, we don't. She and the County "planning staff" were not well received there either. |

I like the young man and soon to be Father. The problem is that the politicians are just too stupid to see the plain spoken truth he uses. I was taught that you never tell a man you're gonna kick his ass ,,,you just do it. THIS is what the Virginia Legislature has done. They have ANNOUNCED that they are going to do make all the gun owners felons. Probably not going to end well. View Quote |

I've marched with Ben. I won't out his handle here on Arfcom, but he's a good dude and very generous. Loaned me some gear on a march.

He’s right I live 2 miles from the Va line work in Giles county conversations are definitely taking place. View Quote I'm about 5 miles from VA state line, as the crow flies. Read through the topics here. Nothing but materialism. If not materialism, it’s family centered. Does anyone actually believe that enough people will throw either of those two things away permanently to fight for freedom?
Society has evolved so far from the days of our founders that forcibly resisting is nothing more than a fantasy. I’m not pointing fingers, I’m as guilty as the next guy. |

Virginian patriots, you are at the tip of the spear on this. The rest of the country is watching. If you fail, then it will be the template for a sweeping tryanny across the nation, even in heretofore solid gun states like Idaho.

"People in bars are openly talking about what they are going to do to politicians". I don't think the left realizes what is coming if they pass these gun laws. Just sayin Why is it so difficult to understand that the policy desires of a few politicians should not be permitted to bring a state to armed conflict with it's own citizens? I would start a serious conversation about recall efforts with legislators who are stridently opposed to the proposed legislation. I did read a bit and it's not clear whether or not a state elected official is subject to recall in Virginia --the conversations should be very public about clarifying the state statues on recall and beginning the petition effort for a recall while the legislature clarify the legal paths down that road. Governor Northam is already facing a recall petition. https://www.change.org/p/all-virginia-circuit-courts-recall-governor-ralph-northam Once again, God Speed Virginia Our prayers are with you. |

Some numbers to consider.
There are four states where the number of veterans as a share of the adult population exceeds 10%: Alaska, Montana, Virginia, and Wyoming. The highest percentage of veterans served during the era of the Vietnam War, 35.7%. Two states – Oregon and Minnesota – have the highest share of veterans who served during that era, both topping 40% of the states' veteran populations. The first Gulf War era (1990-2001) has the next highest share of veterans, with 20.8%, and Virginia and Alaska have the highest percentage of veterans from that period, at 33.9% and 31.5%, respectively. 2. Virginia • Veteran population: 10.6% (687,271) • Adult civilian population: 6.5 million (12th largest) • Veteran unemployment: 2.7% (6th lowest) • Veteran poverty rate: 4.5% (the lowest) • Veterans with a disability: 22.2% (2nd lowest) Basically we have lots of people willing to fight, we aren't physically broken and we have money. |
