Technically I'm a Millennial. I hate being lumped in with all of those weak crying bastards who have the world handed to them and it still isn't enough.

I would hope that most of you guys don't just lump us all together. Would you say the majority of young people you know are "millennial" in behavior?

100% millennial behavior - No
Millennials including you have at least some of the characteristics identified as traits of your generation.
Note that not all of these traits are negative.
It is in the world that you grew up in that these traits developed.
We non-millennials were around during this time.
We also developed traits that are different form yours because of many factors.

So I guess, let's get over ourselves and live our lives.

You're a millennial if you were born between 1982 and 2004. If someone has a problem with you strictly because you were born within that time frame, they are jealous and old. Some people fit the stereotype and some don't. Judging someone purely by their age is stupid.

Sorry,, your still a millennial... me on the otherhand i think its more of a gray area,, born 1984.. everyone my age and older do not identify as a millennial at all,, we didnt grow up with computers and crazy shit like millenials.

I think Millennial should be 1987 1988+

It never changes.  The term "slacker" was interchangeable with "Generation X" around the time I graduated from college.  I didn't like being lumped together with the actual slackers, either.  Older generations always hate on the younger ones.

To be fair, most of the patients I see are the same way and are not millennials. Bunch of FSA that can't afford a fucking $2 bottle of ibuprofen but have a Samsung Galaxy 25 or iPhone 16.

You think Healthcare is shit now, just wait until the next wave of brainwashed physicians start pushing even harder for single payer.

Some people don't like that logic, since it removes the only advantage they have.

HA.....try being a 32 yo millennial.

I was in college when I was 30....with some 20 year olds.

The one big thing I took away was that kids these days confuse pajamas with actual real clothes.

I can agree with that. Born in '88 myself, so just barely old enough before everything started getting computerized. My Dad has worked in the "PC" field his entire life, so I've been around PC's my entire life though.

I probably have more in common with you, then my brother('94') and definitely my sister('00).

25 y/o, have a well paying job and a house for the last year.

House will be paid off when I'm 39.

Other people my age are still smoking weed and delivering pizzas.

I hate my generation.

Every generation is further left than the previous thanks to the previous generation.

Every generation is weaker than the previous generation thanks to the previous generation.

Every generation is less reliable than the previous generation thanks to the previous generation.

Etc,etc, etc. You have no one to blame but yourselves (unless you're childless).

I dont think 20 should count as a millennial. If you werent old enough to remember Y2K, you shouldnt count as a millennial. If you had the internet your whole life you dont count. I think the defintion should be refined to be anyone who was 6-17 on 1-1-00. If we want to count anyone born between 82 and 00 as millennial, we should make further distinctions between the ones who had childhood before the internet and social media.

eta 95-10 is Gen Z. OP you arent a millennial.

Gen Z is on track to being one of the most conservative generations in a long time. I think I read somewhere else that millennials are the most pro gun generation of voting age.

BINGO!
It's not a generational thing, it's a mindset that's just becoming more common.  Back in the 1990s when I was a surgical resident, one of my attendings referred to the "ethnic entitlement" behavior that was rampant in these elder patients of "the Greatest Generation." This behavior has unfortunately become accepted as "normal" with anyone who's entitled.
Most of us Boomers I know judge behavior, not generation.
