I like the dress blues being a seperate uniform.  Makes it more distinct.  I'd like to see the blues become a required uniform, and make the green more of a "service dress" like the marines do.

They've been talking about new Class-A's for a while now... I'm not sure that is something that is in dire need of changing while we're at war. Sounds like something that can wait for a peace-time lull when money doesn't need to be spent on beans and bullets.

WTF are thet thinking?

oh man, what about a straight black uniform with a stand up collar like the acu has??? you could even have bevo collar tabs with rank insignia and branch of svc plus a black leather garrison belt with a buckle with the army insignia and "god is with us" on it! it would look cool with the black beret!

hey, it's ww2!

Its bad enough with our new grey uniform with the fritz helmet.
Black jack boots and we are ready to roll.

I, too, just bought my ACUs.  I will save money in the starching over the long run.
They are certainly more comfortable, but I think name tapes should have been sewn on.  Not sure the win there.
One thing I have noticed about marines who are very vocal about being so.
They only served one hitch.
The careerists are proud, but quiet.
Wonder why that is?

It's because they have the mentality, "well, the army gave it to us, so we'll just make do" while the younger, more smarter Marines/Soldiers know better and know that the Military should provide quality clothing that works.
We have quite a few of 'those' soldiers in our unit.

They dont realize the Marine Corps 25years ago, is a TON different than the Army today.  And nothing you can say will change them.

Oh Hell.....just give them another patch, medal, beret, or "shiny thing" to hang on their current Class A's and they will be happy for a few more years!!!

Actually, I like the army Class A's when worn by Airborne/SF guys with their boots bloused. Looks OK, but none will ever be as tough as the MARINE Dress Blues.
