The chevy is strong in this thread, as a n 02' 1500 owner, I like what i see

That 5.3 will run forever, provided it sees proper maintenance.  The LS series of engines really are workhorses.  I have an 05 dmax with 120k on the clock, nothing crazy.  It is tuned, and I have managed to limp the stock tranny though.

93 Dodge 250 Cummins auto.  270k.  Original motor and trans.  Guy that owned it before me used it as a daily driver and bought it new.  Never really pulled anything.

We have a 1998 Chevy Z 71 pickup with 245,000 miles on it.

Looking over the service record I see we have replaced the starter, fuel pump, water pump, intake gaskets, universal joints and alternator.

I hardly ever use it anymore but it still looks and runs so well I just can't part with it.

Sold my old S10 to my wife's uncle. Its got over 200,000 on it. Had another s10 after that that was an extermination company truck. It had 289,000+ when I got rid of it and it ran fine

My 97 Ford Expedition XLT 4X4 with 5.4L Triton motor just turned over 271K miles. I have no plans to replace it, short of accident or catastrophic mechanical failure.

Probably right. Only has a 1750lb payload and tow rating of 7300 lbs. nothing to compare to the mighty 1500 series TRUCKS from the big 3.
Lol
