Quoted: Go back and actually read what I wrote. I never said ban anything. While I personally would never use crack, cocaine, marijuana, heroin, ecstasy, PCP, LSD, crystal meth or any other illicit drug, I never said anything about their legality. I don't smoke and rarely drink. All I'm saying is, if you decide you need to put garbage in your body, don't end up on my property or mess with my stuff because you're so out of it you don't know where you are or what you're doing. If you do, I will make you regret it. I believe in "live and let live". Just take precautions when you decide to drug yourself. Don't get behind the wheel and kill someone. Don't go jumping off a building because you're messed up and possibly damage the concrete below that my tax money paid for. USPC40 View Quote It is my tax money too... Quoted: maybe we need a poll...just to see how far off I am. Giving that same logic as I've seen, I suppose you boys think prostitution should be be legal too...and abortion. Hey who are we to point our "moral compass at others" Fuck the baby, that woman has a right to shurk her responsibilities... View Quote Yeah, in fact I'm in favor of both of those things being legal. Why the fuck is prostitution illegal? Does this make any sense? To borrow some of George Carlins words, "Selling is legal. Fucking is legal. So why isn't selling fucking legal? Why is it illegal to sell something that it's perfectly legal to give away?" As for abortion, I don't agree with it morally, as it seems to be murder, no matter how young your victim. But, we got a lot of people on this planet already, and it's easier to kill 'em while they're fetuses. Plus more economical, what with not having to deal with burial arrangements and coffins and all. Damn, after writing that, I'm not sure whether to laugh or gag. Since I'm not joking, I think that I'll gag. And drugs? As has been said before, if you drink/smoke/drink coffee, and you are infavor of a drug ban, you are either a hypocrite or a moron(and probably both). Not a single illegal drug causes anywhere near the fatalities that tobacco causes. And I would suspect that drunk driving claims more lives than illegal drugs. Yes, illegal drugs are dangerous, but legalizing them will not result in people running out to start doing them, and if someone commits a crime while under the influence, IT'S STILL A CRIME! If you kill someone while drunk, IT'S STILL A CRIME! Same as any other drug. And this whole demonizing marijuana shit, STOP BUYING INTO GOVERNMENT PROPAGANDA. Healthwise, it's far less dangerous than smoking cigarettes. And equating drug use with gun ownership is not retarded. Are drug use and gun ownership the same? Of course not. Are the arguments against both the same? Absolutely. One side thinks that a freedom is dangerous and they set about to convince everone else of this. And for all of you that want to kill all drug users, you better throw out all of the cigarettes, coffee and alcohol, because you too are "lowlife druggie fucks", whose drug of chioce just happens to be legal. Time for this lowlife to get some work done. |

To be quite honest, I never realized that there was a debate over the war on drugs, until about a year ago when I noticed that the libertarians want to legalize drugs....
There is no such thing as a logical debate over the legality of such drugs. I try to be objective, and no matter how much I try, but I can almost never convince myself that my original view was flawed, as in this case. When was the last time someone smoked pot and drove thier car into an innocent family? Not nearly as many fatalities are caused by drug addicts as there are by drunks. I am not condoning drug use (I have drank nor used in over 10 years) but if we are going to slay drug addicts lets be honest and crucify the #1 abused drug in the USA alcohal. John |

The debate is about freedom from the oppression of a government operating outside of its limits as defined by the Constitution, and is trampling over our God given rights.
