I bought this in the auto version this summer....its a very nice knife.

I love the small size and carry it every day at work.

I had an emissary and really liked it but lost it I have decided that it was really a bit small and that I like EDC knives that are larger.

I have a 3550 and it is nice but I can't get used to the tip down carry. All my other knives are tip up and it throws me off. I only carry it when I am wearing dress clothes and want something smaller.

I am mostly carrying my AFO II these days.

It big and bulky...

I want something thin, light and small for EDC...

This one looks nice.  Small, light, EDC sounds like a Spyderco Para 2 to me though.

US made with ATS-34 blade.
Pika 2 I think. Looks kind of like this one.

This is my 943 Osborne.  I swapped it out for a Kershaw Leek but lost it and am now back to the 943.

The screw on the spine fell out so now the liner flops out every now and then.  Anyone know how I can get a replacement screw?  I've tried contacting Benchmade but they never respond back.

I've heard that if you own a Benchmade auto and you send it in to Benchmade to get it sharpened Benchmade will refuse to return it. Apparently they claim it's illegal for them to return it. I heard this second hand so I'm not sure how accurate it is. Has anyone else heard this?

I'm thinking about buying an auto so I would like to know if this is true....

It may depend upon the state laws where you live.  One option is to send it back through an authorized dealer in your area.  That is the best legal option for non LE, EMS, Mil here in SC anyway. FWIW I sent my mini presido (non auto) in for service a few years ago and they sent me back someone elses auto. Wasn't too hard to straighten out though.

I haven't had to contact Benchmade for part replacement, but by all accounts they should accommodate such needs. So, perhaps another method of communication is called for. If all else fails, mail the knife to their Lifesharp program; Benchmade replaced every screw in my decade-old knife when I sent it in for a factory edge for whatever reason.

I carry a mini barrage with serrated and love it. We give away griptillians  and mini grips as promo stuff. Mini barrage is waaaaay nicer. Like way more value despite costing more kind of nicer.  I've yet to handle a knife from Benchmade or anyone else that I'd rather have.

I have a cheapo $40 Benchmade as an EDC knife.

My first Benchmade is retired, an original thumbhole M2 AFCK w/ linerlock.  I've lost it twice, and twice it found its way back to me, even from 20 miles away.
