Glad to hear you feel that way. It seems to me the young people on this site smoke pot, don't understand property rights, fuck anything that moves then wonder why they can't hold a marriage together.

Edit: and stay offa my lawn!

I'm 23 and consider myself a libertarian simply because I love liberty. I believe that our Founders were, collectively, the wisest collection of men ever assembled on this Earth and their ideals should be carried on. When I get out of school, I want to make it my life's work to promote the ideals of limited government, free markets, and the promotion of liberty in general.

As someone just a couple of years south of 50, reading some of the things by our younger members gives me hope. It reminds me that not everyone under 35 are brainwashed sheeple led on by the media. I see some pretty intelligent postings made by 18 to 25 year olds in here and its good to know that there are free thinkers coming up the younger generation. Keep it up guys, it will be up to you to carry on the good fight after us older guys are gone. That being said, GET OFF MY LAWN!

Personally I can't wait until you older folks are dead, but its been nice knowing you!  Thanks for screwing us!

I'm 19, can't wait to see everything you've built be destroyed and your wills broken beyond repair.

I am 26, my friends are all fucking shit stupid when it comes to watching what the hell the .gov does.  To them, XBOX360 and PS3 are their world and as long as McDonald's is open and the tv is working... everything is golden.  Meanwhile, I am the only one watching FOX News, CNN, MSNBC.  Seeing what the idiots who are (the large majority- except a few dirty hippy types) 50+ in Washington are doing to fuck my shit up more and more everyday is damn near going to give me a stroke.

ETA:  BTW, STAY THE FUCK OFF MY LAWN TOO  gd old people.

20 year old conservative (starting to lean very libertarian) college student checking in.

As someone earlier said, I also believe our founding fathers were collectively the smartest minds we've ever seen assembled in one place on this earth.  Their prowess in political science, philosophy, and many other realms, is painfully obvious - and that's why it's so infuriating that people these days don't see it.

I hope my generation can stand up at some point and say "ENOUGH!" with regards to the amount of laws passed down upon us, the amount of liberty that is being eroded away, the massive amount of debt that they're saddling my yet unborn children and grandchildren, and the ever-increasing amount of socialism that is infiltrating our society.  My life's goal is to stand up for what is right.  As it was said in Atlas Shrugged:

"He still thought it self evident that one had to do what was right. He never learned how people could want to do otherwise, he had only learned that they did."

Cheers.

The Constitution is one of the greatest documents ever written but its importance is only relevant if the principals are applied. Sadly, not much is applicable these days.

28 here.  Parents have a lot to do with it.

I second that. My dad was a staunch republican and my mother is somewhat of a mix of a republican and a libertarian.

19 year old here, and it is true that my generation is 99% retarted. As in believing Ayn Rand was a socialist after reading two of her books retarded (learned this about a friend two days ago).

The "good" young people on this site will never be able to out-vote the lazy, good for nothing hippie-parent ones out there. And that is from a Texan. I'd hate to see what someone like me would think if they were from New York.
