I ussually stop at a house with a sign that says 'FREE KITTENS"  Or "FREE PUPPIES"

I prefer reactive targets.

The cries of the wonded kittens/puppies will attract coyotes, and then I can shoot them.

The dead coyotes draw buzzards, I shoot them.

By then,  I am out of beer, and I go home.

I hope you are joking, and even if you are, you are one sick bastard.  I hate cats, and even I wouldn't do that.

Sumter, only place I know of near here is Poinsett range which is only open on the weekends. It's just weird going from private property to a controlled range. I'm used to shooting up old cars and an old shack when I've just got an itch to burn some ammo. Oh well, no worries.

I always stop at the local fruit stand. They usually have older Oranges and Grapefruits at a giveaway price.

I also always tell them I am using them for targets, then they usually bring me more stuff at no charge.

Usually a buck or two max, and zero cleanup needed.

To go along with CavVet, try to get old pumpkins a few days after Halloween. Nice and mushy means more splatter!

A friend from work and I have been shooting at a privately owned junkyard for a few months. No shortage of targets! TV's, toilets, computers, well you get the idea. One cool thing is that if you bring any junk, you can leave it there!
