Quoted: Twenty years? See, in 1993 the talk was pretty similar. A huge piece of gun legislation was coming down the pipe, and everyone was doom-and-glooming over "in twenty years, we will all be felons." 20 years later, we now have Heller (for example). So, who knows what the next two decades will bring? Don't stress about it. Buy it cheap, stack it deep, and after you've done everything you can, commit the whole situation to the ordaining of Providence. View Quote |

I'm convinced that guns are nothing but a pink unicorn for the Commies in power. They did not ban any guns even when they had a majority in Congress, yet they continue to shove full blown Socialism down our throats WITH NO REPERCUSSIONS. Guns are a distraction for them at best. If they manage to get a ban its only a bonus, if not, it was a giant head fake that keep gun owners feeling like they 'won' something while losing every other issue. We are suffering under a soft tyranny now and will accede to a hard tyranny with nary a shot fired.
If there is some kind of federal ban, the vast majority of gun owners will either turn in their guns willingly or will hide. Those who fight, will be dealt with harshly and will receive little to no support. Some states will say hands off to the feds, and they will suffer with the pulling of grant money and other federal funding. The feds will make it hurt until the state governments either fall in line or until the local populaces demand their neighbors fall in line. It will be a purge like Nazi Germany. |

Above post is true but you have to admit they are trying mighty hard to ban everything, the Northeast and the West coast are already lost..as for the rest of the country it is seemingly just a matter of time..I moved to the deep South and am hoping we can hold out here out as long as possible... Yes, but federal prison is more predictable. |

Yeah..."common sense gun control" what a bunch of crap..c mon think about it as they are basically admitting that the "Brady checks" dont fucking work! This is how it all starts. E.G. original income tax took 40 years to push through, it was a "reasonable, common sense measure to pay debts" accrued during revolution and war of 1812. it was also a very low percentage (don't remember exactly what the number was) but it has directly spawned the IRS, and the progressive taxation system we have now. After all it is reasonable that the rich can afford to pay more and we need somebody to collect it right? |

View Quote The only thing between us and getting it done is air and fear! Nothing stopping us but that. Scouts and 4H groups are begging for qualified firearms instructors, gun clubs need junior club instructors, Appleseed needs more instructors, NRA junior shooting needs more instructors. Some of that involves sitting through some bullshit "youth protection" training and boring instructor certification classes but gives us access to millions of kids and new shooters. Some of it requires that we hold off on training to win the national championship or outshooting SEAL Team 6. Imagine a world where a pile of arfcommers are in charge of 4H and BSA firearms training! Scouts are experimenting with allowing action pistol into the BSA firearms program right now. "Ok scouts, insert your loaded magazine into your Glock 19 and put three fast rounds into each steel plate in front of you!" |

Welcome to Canada.
I hope every gun owner in the United States can put a stop to the nonsensical liberal push to take your gun rights away. Restricted weapons take on a whole new meaning once laws are passed and it takes decades to chip away at them to gain fractions of what you have lost. You folks in the U.S. must stop this happy horseshit that is going on in your country. You do not know what is lost until it is gone. |

I'm hoping that the War on Guns will be as successful as the War on Drugs. If their War on Guns is big enough, we might have full-on firearms proliferation.

Don't worry, OP. A firearm ban is not designed to disarm criminals, only law-abiding citizens. So, If they ban all firearms and you decide to keep yours and become a felon, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

View Quote yes, this is good, but you see, the green berets are few and far between. Additionally, ALL special operations folks are inherently intelligent (kind of important when operating behind enemy lines). unfortunately the people in charge of enforcing the gun laws are the same people that like to go all Michael Oher on nurses that are simply following both policy and law by concealing doctor-patient confidential info. Hate to break it to ya but a green beret generally has more common sense in the shortest hair on his scrotum than the people that participate in gang mentality gun grabs in cities like new orleans for example. |
