I believe President Bush will be win the election.
I don't think his win will be huge. He will not take Iowa. |
I may have missed it, since I quickly skimmed through the thread, but I saw a lot of mention of "not winning without Ohio, etc"... well let's not forgot that no Democrat has ever won with out Missouri... so... it's a wash.
The not winning without Ohio thing is misleading. No Republican has ever NEEDED Ohio to win either. Take away those votes from any election, and they win anyway.
I am optimistic. Bush is going to do it. Christains are going to flood the voting booths.
Watch for the media to be spouting that BS about "Americans like to split their vote." |

or months. |

I am so worried for Bush that I can't watch the coverage election night. Just wake me up the day after.
I think if it weren't for the Iraq war, Bush would be coasting to an easy victory by now. |
I don't think this is a very dependable demagraphic. Most catholics do not vote their faith, I doubt others do either. |

After many weeks of poll and election watching, reading opinions everywhere, etc. AND the newest trends against Kerry I see now - who is losing ground in NJ, PA, HI, MI, MN, and with women and blacks............
I must say Bush will win by a comfortable enough margin to squelch the protests and we'll have this wrapped-up within a week of Nov 2. Consider this gentlemen: even the demo pundits can only admit (repeatedly) that "it's a close election" and the news networks have much to gain by perpetuating the belief-----RATINGS! This has to be one of the most profitable elections in history, and you can't have that w/o a "close" election. Additionally, the networks get to take a very safe, non-committal position and appear unbiased - which is what they're already supposed to do anyway, right>?I do not believe the election will be close. Bull. |
Exactly. My father always told me "never let the truth interfear with a good story." |
I mean he will win with 310 to 330 electoral votes. |
Just think, AWB and a Re- Election all in the same year.
Don't get much better than that. |
+1 |
Hey, I've been saying that for months... at least quote me! |
It's not the Catholics, its the Evangelical Christians that are going to turn out in RECORD numbers...Bush wins easily...300+ Electoral Votes... Remember, Bush is the first President to have his party GAIN seats in both houses of Congress in a midterm election...Bush's popularity runs much deeper than the polls, and his coattails will be even longer this time around...45 STATES!!! |
I think massive voter fraud is already happening all across the country. I don't believe any of the predictions that W will win. Nothing more than wishful thinking. But the Republicans will pick up 2 Senate seats. |

and since those 2 elections were not properly polled that means the rule is the polls are always wrong? im not saying the polls are nessesarily right, but you have to consider the middle range of the poll numbers are historically close. not exact, but close. what i mean is if an election is as close in the polls as this one, neither candidate will pull off a landslide. even if bush pulls 303 EVs (which is currently within the realm of reasonable outcomes) that would be an extremely close election in which he would have a small majority in popular vote. but what do i know, lets all just assume bush will win by landslide...thats real productive depending how the battleground states are broken up, thier are many diffrent outcomes. if kerry won it would be a small win, thier is no way for him to get too far past the 270 mark. bush could win by as little as like 276 or as much as 303 or a tad more. thier are more hypotheticals in which bush wins, which makes a bush victory more likley. it is important to remember you can not guess which way a state will go judging by the issues that have impacted the state (somone mention Ohio's economy) because most people, thereby most voters, are totally un-informed. I dont want to say this board is full of well adjusted political scienists (which we can all agree is not the case) but the membership here is voting for the most part of acual beleifes. people on DU are voting on (extremely misguided) beleifs. but on NOV. 2 their will be people voting for the most retarded reasons ever. I have a relative that is voting for kerry because she is positive Bush is supporting a PETA effort to eliminate hog farmers(extreme example). We have masses of Irrational voters out there. i know, it is hard to imagine people that uninformed out there, but they exist in large numbers. |

Perhaps there are 53% of us who think that the other 41% is too liberal and that Kerry shouldn't even be this close |

To be honest – I’m like a pendlium on this… this morning, I was 100% certain it was Bush, this afternoon, I thought 60% chance for Kerry, and now I’m 60% for Bush winning.
In my mind, I still think Bush will pull this out – but I just have this gut feeling that Kerry will somehow do it. I cannot shake it the voice in the back of my head telling me that Kerry will crest Tuesday and win this thing. I make it a point to take a walk on my property every weekend. There is about 2 miles of nice peaceful trails around its perimeter, and I find it very relaxing. However, as I was walking, my mind was wandering and I had this unnerving feeling that my children will never have this pleasure of doing this when they are grown up. Why? Because if Kerry is elected, he will set us down the road of minimal private property ownership, UN taxes, and in my opinion WWIII. God I hope that I am wrong – but I just have this feeling. Anyone else have this? |
Remember, while fraud will be an issue, it will be challenged, it may well end up in court and we will win there even if we have to fight it all the way up to fedeal courts. In order for Kerry to steal this he has to pull it off in multiple states, another great reason for the electoral college... much harder to commit massive fraud as you have to do it in multiple jurisdictions with multiple oversight aparatuses and multiple courts that have tbe hoodwinked.
Do your part and what happens happens... but seriously folks this defeatism is fucking pissing me off. What are YOU doing to ensure it DOESN'T happen? |
Our church has about 800 members. I only know of one who is even undecided and I think he is just being contrary to get attention. Otherwise, you would swear by looking at the parking lot that you were at the Republican convention! GO BUSH! Planerench out. |
I think sKerry might win this with the help of voter fraud. When you have more people registered than those eligible to vote there's something wrong. The election will be certified and later folks will find out Bush really did win but it will be too late to do anything about it.
And yes it PISSES me OFF. I cannot imagine president skerry and first lady terezzzza. I also cannot fathom going back to a United States that runs away when it gets a black eye. I much prefer a USA that isnt afraid to slug it out even after we take a few licks. We should never again be easy targets who wont fight back which is exactly what skerry will do to us. |

The guy who does the Horse Race Blog says the Republicans are organized down to the man in each precinct. Bottom line, I think the Republicans turn out and Bush takes Ohio. That statement is so very true. I represent my Republican ward. My ward is made up of about 1/3R, 1/3D and 1/3I's. I'm calling all my folks on my list Sunday and Monday to get out to vote Tuesday. I've met with many over the last two weeks. My impression is the "majority" of the I's are going for Bush. Some D's and I haven't found one Republican in my ward that's for Kerry. These are good working class people and the general consensus among these folks is they are asking themselves "Kerry? Why take a chance?". One elderly lady in my neighborhood commented that no matter how they tried to sell Kerry to me, "A bag of crap is still a bag of crap". I just love her. It will surprise me if Bush loses Ohio. |

Yup, we might suffer a bleak future, but you are kind of naive to think that this election and a Bush victory will prevent that kind of outcome. The only thing that will prevent tyranny is for good men to draw the line and protect what is theirs. You can't do that in the current political system, which is set up so that the system wins no matter what. Why, if you think such a future is possible, would you even spend one more second doing anything that invokes your tacit approval of it? Waiting in line to vote. Yeah, that'll fix everything. No bigger idiots in the world than Americans waiting in line to vote! "I CONTROL my government." Yeah, uh huh. BTW--the future has a way of being extremely unpredictable. What I really think we are seeing is the dying gasps of socialism and social control and a new era of free markets. Yeah, there are a lot of leftists in the world, but organized state structures are failing everywhere I look and the statist masses are incapable of holding it together. It's only a matter of time until some "perfect storm" breaks the back of socialism. I'm optimistic. I would not be able to go through life if I weren't. Your property might be a lot safer than you think. |

That spm quote looks like something I said! Bunch of fucking plagirists around here! |

He will....Can you imagine Herman Munster lecturing us for 4 years??????????? OMFG NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you spend some time and go back and look at where this came from. He pulled your quote from my post in which I qouted you. Fucking plagerist my ass. Research your facts before you make an accusation. This is twice I have had to deal with people getting qoutes screwed and busting my chops for shit I did not do. Thank you. I respect your opinion Hiram and sure as fuck aint going to take something you said and make it mine |

LOL, sorry buddy, was meant to be a joke... didn't mean to accuse you of anything. I knew what happened, it was a playful chops busting! |

Ok, thanks. Sorry for jumping the gun |

He will win. I hope by a large margin. I also hope my heart can take the stress until then. Don't forget to vote people. Even if you live in a red state. We are the base, and it's going to be all about turnout.
ah, so if we all don't vote the system will fix itself, right? |
