I only wear automatics.  Batteries suck (G-shock solar watches get a pass on the batteries suck idea though).

Got it in 1985 - Seiko Chronograph Sports 100.  My folks bought it for me when I finished high school.  It's survived me serving in the infantry with it. It's survived me SCUBA diving with it.  It's been to five continents with me.  In the 30 years I have worn it, i've had it refurbished once by Seiko (at a cost of $60).

It's an awesome watch.

I got my first Seiko a couple months ago and love it. Have a few more I've been looking at and should be ordering one or two more here pretty soon.
