He's not all that great for California, just way better than Gray Davis.
He is not nearly Conservative enough for me.

But as far as someone who could actually get elected in Cali.

Where are you in Cali?  Once upon a time I lived in Sacramento, and then Merced.

I remain a life long Raiders fan, even though I am stuck in the middle of Chief country.

I second that as well.  I would go as far as to say no foreign born citizens in a President's administration.

Or in line of succession to the presidency.  That means no speaker of the house, etc.

That is already in effect.  Anyone in line for Presidency has to be American born.

No.

Arnie's speech last night was very rousing, and it should be because, it is meant to sell GWB Jr to all the Republicans across the USA for 4 more years, but Arnie for Prez, no way.

Yeah... I'm thinking....... NO!

I'm a foreign born, US citizen and a Republican.  (Came to US when I was 9)

I like Arnold in Ca, because the alternative is a Democrap here.

The US Constitution is not perfect, but don't mess with it.  It's the best there is.

Hold on, hold on,  let me play devil's advocate here for a second;

all, the hell with it- NO. No fargin' way.

I am a little suspect of the jr. Bush that's coming up through the ranks as well. His mother is Mexican and while I have a few very close Mexican friends, and in general love the Mexican people, I understand that what they feel is their best interest, isn't in our best interests.  So that makes me nervous. I suddenly see open borders,  crime rising,  terrorism etc.......

So no way.

NO!

It is also time to re-consider whether the US-born children of people who are here illegally should be automatically granted citizenship.

It seems to me, if you are here illegally, you should be precluded from US citizenship as you are a criminal.

Should the children of criminals be given a gift?  Well, the children are innocent, it's not their fault or action that brought them here.

Hmmm,.....???????????

I will side with our Founding Father's decision, I am still staggered at the intellectual and logical brilliance of them.

If we allow foreigners to run for office we'll eventually end up with some really rich foreigner (Soros, King Fahd?) simply buying the office.

I have a question.  If a pregnant mother visites a foriegn country for a few days, and goes into labor and has the baby in that country, is that child still a citizen of the USA?

Yes, Natural born, as in citizen at birth. Since the child would have been a citizen at birth by virtue of parentage, they would be a natural born citizen. Only children that are naturalized are excluded.

What part of the Constitition don't you understand? Absolutely not? The founders of our Republic had good reasons for writing the Constitution the way it is. I don't think there is anyone alive who could hold a candle to any of those men. Leave it alone!

Out of respect for the Constitution I say no, but if it were just a federal law that said one must be born on U.S. Soil to become president than I say change the law.

I find it somewhat inspiring to see that some of the most patriotic people are foreign born.
