I grew up in 'Monkey' County, graduated HS there (Blair) and lived in Rockville, B-CC, and Kensington areas. Got the hell out in 1973 when it became clear which way the State was going.
From Ted Agnew to Parris Glendenning and further Socialism. Been living in Colorado almost thirty years and have noticed recent immigration from the PR of MD, but once they get out here they try to turn it into exactly what they claim to be escaping. Watch out, VA they'll be blaming it on you next! MCPD is good at traffic violations but not at this. They're used to dealing with nannys and their sheeple. |

Quoted: Quoted: I was just thinking--perhaps this is a terrorist attack. I've noticed over the years that unskilled shooters (Columbine, etc.) tend to leave many wounded and few killed. These shooters seem to be killing everyone they shoot at, which speaks of skill. I hope everyone keeps the means to shoot back handy. Also, keep your wits about you. [sniper] View Quote Noticed that too, they dont appear to be driving around and "spraying". Everyone in the area be careful. View Quote I wasnt going to bring this up since I didnt want to look like an "everything is a terrorist act" person, but since you guys did, there are some very curious things here. Not only the things already mentioned, but the lack of multiple shots, ie, spray and pray, of most random shooters. This is more the likes of someone with at least a moderate amount of training and planning. Shots are way to precise. I could be wrong but............. |

Yes, please remember that your concealed handgun permit is for handguns only. Most jurisdications around the DC area prohibit the carrying of loaded rifles in a vehicle. I know Anne Arundel and Piggy County especially frown on loaded magazines even if stashed outside the gun case or compartment the rifle is carried in.
Do not jeopardize the rights of us all by being STUPID.....carry what you are lawfully allowed to carry. Which in the cae of my Maryland neighbors......ain't much. Be safe and shoot straight. Ed |

They just had a Captain in the Mont County police speak. At only one scene was the white Isuzu Truck spotted. Who knows if they ditched that and are now in another vehicle.
She also said it was only one shot at each location. Would not say where the shots hit the victims. |

Unfortunately, this tragedy will get dumped on Maryland gun owners and the Republican party. Even though the Dumbo-crats are in office and are responsible for todays laws, they will wiggle out of it.
As has been pointed out already, this will only make it less likely Erhlich can win. I am voting for him anyway no matter what happens. If by some chance KKT gets in I plan on relocating either in Virginia or North Carolina. I feel for the families of those gunned down. I only hope and pray that their hurt and anger is directed at the guilty and not at law abiding gun owners. This is a BIG setback for democracy instead of socialism in this state! |

About two months ago, an Israeli soccer mom pushing her baby through the supermarket, was involved in a terrorist hostage situation inside the market. The perp, a young male Palestinian, had the drop on several folks at the front of the store with his commie gun. If my memory serves me right, he was also wearing the standard-issue Pali gut bomb around his middle. When she recognized the threat, our intrepid young lady drew her semi-auto pistol from her bag and shot the perp dead with two to the cranium. We had pics of the dead terrorist posted here. Five Shot To Death In Montgomery County
1:58 p.m. EDT October 3, 2002 - Five people are dead and police are searching for a gunman or gunmen that they believe are behind the apparent shooting spree. The shootings started Wednesday evening and continued into Thursday morning. Police say the victims appear to be chosen at random as they went about their daily chores. Authorities were attempting to determine whether the shootings late Wednesday and early Thursday were related. "There's a strong possibility that they are all connected," police spokeswoman Joyce Utter said, noting the location and timing of the shootings. Montgomery County Police Chief Charles Moose said there's no indication any of the five people killed are in any way related, or had any conflict with anyone. Police said they are looking for two men in a white Isuzu SUV, a box truck with black lettering on it with damage to the tailgate. Montgomery County police spokeswoman Capt. Nancy Demme told reporters that there is "an ongoing crime [spree] that we have not experienced before." The first person killed was a 55-year-old man who was shot in the parking lot of a Wheaton Shoppers Food Warehouse grocery store about 6 p.m. Wednesday, Demme said. A man operating a lawnmower was killed about 7:45 a.m. Thursday in the White Flint area, and another man was shot at 8:15 a.m. while pumping gas at a Mobil station in the Aspen Hill area. He died at the scene. About a half-hour later, a woman died at a post office next to the Leisure World retirement community in Silver Spring. The woman was shot in the head, according to a spokesman for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Department. In the fifth shooting, a woman was shot and killed at 10 a.m. at a Shell gas station in Kensington. Mechanics at the gas station said they heard the shots but didn't see the person or persons who killed the woman, who was vaccuuming her van. Schools in D.C., Montgomery County, Prince George's County and Frederick County have locked their doors and children are being kept inside as a precaution. There are no field trips allowed, and students are not allowed to leave the campuses for lunch. NEWS4 reports Thursday afternoon that police say there has NOT been any threat made to any school. Morning kindergarten students are being held at the schools and afternoon kindergarten has been canceled. Moose said Montgomery public schools are still in session, even though they are locked, and the chief said the "schoolkids are safe." Moose is encouraging people not to panic, and especially parents, whom he's urging not to rush to schools to get their kids. A county police command center is being established in Aspen Hill. The Baltimore division of the FBI is offering its "full resources" to authorities in Montgomery County. FBI spokesman Barry Maddox said there are about 200 agents in the Baltimore division with responsibility for Maryland and Delaware. Maryland Gov. Parris N. Glendening issued a statement Thursday afternoon directing the Maryland State Police to "use every tool we have at our disposal to make sure these viscious criminals are caught and brought to justice." |

This doesn't sound like al-qaeda to me. Their style is to carefully spend months planning attacks on high-profile targets. Wonder if there wil be assertions that "you can't stop terrorists with mere handguns!"

Sorry, no new info to contribute.
Just that I used to live in Germantown (5years)--right up the road off of the Rockville Pike. Used to frequent all of the areas where the shooters have popped up. I was NEVER armed while living in Md. Thought about trying to get a permit, but everyone told me it was a lost cause. And yes, the pussy politicians will use this as an excuse to further attempt to disarm the people--when just the opposite should happen.
