I really don't care about a turkey being slaughtered but you have to admit it is a bizarre background activity for an interview. Especially since she was pardoning another turkey.

I was pretty dog gone happy when I killed my first turkey.

Don't know if I smiled but sure as heck laughed and shouted "alright!" as he rolled ass or ears through the tree limbs and hit the snow behind me.

I guess I smiled most of the way home but I don't really remember that.

My Thanksgiving wish would be that Palin does the same interviewing in front of a prison while sparing one prisoner. LOL.

This whole deal proves there are too many pussies in the USA who are not in touch with were their food comes from. Too many girly men who can't handle life. Makes me sick.

Palin is a breath of fresh air and is real. She is the mortal enemy to liberal views.

Its not that people (Other than wacky PETA types) care about the turkey being killed. The situation is just odd and hilarious. Nothing against Palin but watching a turkey slaughtered in the background while she talks about totally non-related stuff is funny as fuck.

It's a killin' cone.  You put the bird in head down, it's head comes out the hole in the cone at the bottom, grab the head, slice the throat and let it bleed out.  The cone keeps it from flopping around and damaging the bird (bruises, broken legs, broken wings, etc).

I kinda hold the head to the side so it bleeds out faster.  You want it to bleed as dry as it can.  It's better meat that way.

didn't you see that dude reach up onto the knife ledge and get his knife?

My Grandma could take a Hen held under her arm and twirl it one 3/4 of a lashlerue whip snap and the chicken would be running all over the yard without a head chasing us grand kids!

She thought it was funny, but damn could Granny make damn good Fried chicken and her flour dumplings and chicken were to die for(chickens died for sure).

We were five or six and couldn't be trusted around the hot dipping pots(but we always got to help in ripping the feathers off).

Grandma made soap (old white lye and fat soap)and wove old tattered rags into throw rugs.

So I'm old school and find Sarah refreshing.

I was a city boy and married into a farming family. We'd clean 100 in one afternoon and before supper. The only thing they threw away were the toes. Hell, they might have had a use for them but I don't remember now and they didn't eat them.  That was reality TV in the 70's.

I'd like to know why the choice of backdrop falls on Palin's shoulders. NBC picked the crew who are responsible for producing the segment, and they may have sent as many as a half-dozen people to the location to put it together. If the cameraman and producer wanted to do an interview with Niagra Falls in the background, they would know EXACTLY where they needed to be positioned to get the shot -they plan this kind of stuff out. So for the media to gasp and say "Look what Sarah Palin did." is a crock of shit.

You might be surprised at how accurate a summation that statement is.  The average sheeple does not know...and does not want to know.....where their food comes from.

They also don't want to know about the sweatshops where kids work for 5cents an hour so they can have inexpensive clothes.  They don't want to acknowledge that war equals
dead people and that without the "evil" American military complex we would all be
peons in some socialist state....wait  oops  missed on that one.
