I'm here to stay.

Why don't you zoom in on the tires in the same pic you posted?   Zoom in on the part that says TOYO and OPEN COUNTRY.  It's quite clear on the front passenger tire.

He was being sarcastic. Of course there's no TOVO tires.

I have a pic/rendering on my wall from a magazine a couple of years back when the Camaro was being seriously discussed. The Trans Am version was 1000 better than the Camaro IMHO. If they would bring it back in Black with a Gold Phoenix. I would sell every other car I own to get it!!

My buddy sent me a link to the Factory Motors rally fighter. Quite possibly the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. Rear wheel drive with a BMW diesel

Any information about the paint job / finish on this car?  Kind of has a flat or mat look to it.  Interesting.

Look at the flaws on the hood - you can see it well in the light transition.

Glad to see someone has a brain. Of course they are Toyo tires. I knew that, everyone knows that. The only person who seems to think that it's a secret is that moron.

I was referring to the sticker on the side of the Jeep that clearly said "TOVO TIRES".

Factory Five Racing manufactures the kit, the car is called the GTM.  Project was originally going to be a GT-40 replica but due to trademark issues I believe the design evolved into this.

You could have looked at the picture, seen the sticker, and gotten the joke. Or you could go off with half the info, thinking you know what the joke is, but when you do that, you ARE the joke...

You used a winky, that's funny.      That's how I know what you say is in good humor.

The OP did not use any such winky.  He made an honest mistake and tried to turn it into a joke, and act like he was joking the whole time.

OP, "If I wanted a joke, I'd follow you into the john and watch you take a leak. Now are you gonna help me or are you gonna stand there like a slab of meat with mittens?"   (That's a quote from a known comedian...)

A lot of vehicles done like this aren't painted yet they do it in a "wrap".  Cheaper and can be changed very easily.

Something I didn't know.  Thanks for the reply.

Thanks. You had a good point about the wheels. I think they're being tested at Aberdeen, and they were "exposed" like that for the show only.

I cant remember where I saw the discussion(maybe here) but several people commented on the tires getting packed with mud/sand/whatever and becoming unbalanced. I am sure they will come up with a good solution

Just flew back from Vegas. I'm very tired, but here are a few pictures.

It was neat to see people like John and Ashley Force, Mario Andretti, Chip Foose, Steve Saleen, Carrol Shelby etc in person. I didn't feel like standing in line for an hour to get their autograph though.

My favorite product was the company developing fancy honeycomb-like wheels for Humvees. I think those might save some lives if they will allow guys caught in an ambush to push through the kill zone.

As for performance cars, the carbon fiber Lotus Elise was...very enticing. 140lbs lighter than stock, they said.

If I see another 2010 Camaro or 2010 Mustang in the next few days, I'm going to vomit.

Umm...

I actually built the entire twin turbo system and intake manifold for this car. I can't say I like the body work, but the engine is pretty bad ass.

Looks great! The part you did, at least. Of all the cars that had their hoods open to show off the stupid plastic engine covers...they left that one closed?

I have to say, there were a lot of cars that I did not like, namely some fancy paint jobs, but the talent required for said paint jobs was undeniably amazing...

Some random pics...

I better see pictures of that car with the hood off, or I will be pissed.

On a side note, I am a HUGE GN guy, have been on the TB.com board for years.  I kinda took some of the flavor for that 6cyl car from my work on GN's over the years.
