That all sounds good but you forget that more than half of "we the people" want shit like it is. An open full out socialist could run for the white house and the useful idiots would vote for them.

Agreed, but it's accelerating. The movement has gathered momentum and it will not be stopped. This country will be lost, that's a guarantee gents. What can we do about it?  Politicians can't be trusted, traditionalism is taboo, religion is crumbling, corruption is rampant, dictatorship in the White House, etc, etc. I could go on and on and on but you've all heard it before. So what is there to do? We need a strong leader to wipe the slate clean. I see nothing of the sort in conservative politics. Is there no good man left in this country that can stand up to this shit alone? I'm still waiting for that person.

Yep, we are looking more and more like the Wiemar Republic everyday, and we all know how that turned out. We are looking more and more like Russia in 1914 everyday and we all know how that turned out. We are looking more and more like Cuba in the 40s and 50s, well, we all know how that turned out. But worst of all we are beginning to look more and more like China in the 19th century, might I add by internal political design, and all of us know how that turned out.


Staggering debt soon to be followed by crushing inflation capped by a disastrous collapse. Incompetent leadership soon to be followed by a nationalistic strong man. Unrestrained crony theft, to be followed by a populist, charismatic leader. And last but not least, we are getting carved up by foreign investors and influence dead set on selling us products built here, in factories operated here by foreign owners and investors selling us products formerly made by us in our own factories.

Read your deToqueville to find out how we used to do things, read your Jefferson, Locke, Adams, Paine, Franklin,  to understand the mind of the founders. We have the Constitution, but the further we stray from it's intent with regulatory boards and agencies, trumped up agencies like the Department of Education, EPA, Department of Energy, BLM, but the only thing we accomplish is  the socialist goal of further indoctrinating us, subjugating us, and controlling us.

Obama said he wanted to "fundamentally transform" America during his campaign.  Anyone with two fucking brain cells left to rub together knew that his "transformation" would be destructive to our way of life and national security.

I really don't know who I despise more;  Obama, or the stupid, open mouth-breathing idiots that voted for him.  

The President has said that he views himself as a progressive throughout his career.  Some progressives are a bit more conservative in their approach, but it was clear from the moment he won election in 2008 to the White House that he was a progressive that believed in much more rapid change.  Hope and Change, and a fundamental transformation of the USA is exactly what he promised. The only obstruction to his progress has been the American people through their elected representatives in the US Congress.  How do you remove that obstruction? You turn the constituents of those representatives into socialists and how do you do that quickly? You flood those districts with migrants workers dependent on government programs and from a socialist state with a track record of supporting failed socialist policies.  Boom, you've got your popular support now and who gives two craps about the "old Americans" who were standing in your way at that point.  Nothing stopping the great socialist utopia then of centralized power in the hands of a benevolent Executive who can in time turn that over a world body like the UN.

I believe we are at that point, but most of us fail to realize it. I would not take much for our beloved and trusted government to one day throw the switch, push the button, nudge the load, jiggle the right knob and we wake up the next day having passed through the looking glass. The incidents in NOLA after Katrina and Boston after the bombings were I believe a mistake, a mistake in that the pants were dropped, the skivvies were shown. Now multiply the local response in those two incidents across the country and tell  me how the population would respond, how the rest of the countries LEOs will respond. I think it is interesting to note that one of these incidents happened in the deep, deep, south, the other in the far north. So do you really think that state geography will save us or you in particular?

 
Actually, this has been the goal since the colonies started to get all uppity with the crown. The Declaration of Independence took a giant shit upon the accepted idea that people needed to to be ruled, practiced the world over for millenia. Can't have the common man owning property... that leads to freedom, wealth, and loss of control!


Our founding fathers showed humanity that the emperor never has had any clothes, and generation after generation of tyrants have been trying to get that genie back in the bottle. It's quite a story.
