Most cola's from latin america use sugar instead of corn syrup.

It's sugar in Puerto Rico.  The cans there are also 333mL, which is a little less than 12oz.

It tasted like flat Pepsi.

It most likely went flat by the time it got to you, why don't you try some a little farther south, closer to Old Mexico.

My wife picked up a case for me at Sam's yesterday.

A little pricey, but damn it's good!

Is there any chance of getting poisoned by the inferior drinking water?

I was dissapointed by the throwback stuff. Not sure why I liked it so much back then.

They filter the water... they don't dip the bottles in a river to fill them up.

I like both not as sweet as the regular stuff, and the dew does not have the horable after taste as the regular dew.

The inferior water is NOT "drinking water."  Nobody with a clue and a means uses Mexican tap water to drink, nor to make drinks.  Soft Drink plants have their own water treatment capacity.

There is plenty of safe water in Mexico - just save the tap water for showers, laundry, etc.

Heck, I use it to brush my teeth, but I know locals that won't even do that.

They always have that in my grocery stores "ethnic" isle.  Funny how no ethnics other than Norweigens shop in that isle.    I'll have to try some next time.

I like that stuff too.  Last I heard though, it was only going to be made for a few months.  Hopefully they are just testing the waters and it does end up sticking around for good.

Turned around at Costco today and there was a mountain of the Mexicoke. Had never heard of it till I saw this thread and then ended up running smack into a stack of it an hour later.

Hey, let's start a thread where we gladly cheer our sending money to Mexico for a food product that in a different thread different ARFcommers will claim is like pouring battery acid down your throat!!

This fucking site, I love it.

Let's not call Coke with real sugar "Mexican Coke" let's call it "Rest of the World Coke".  We're the only consumers that lets the companies get away with HFCS.

Too bad is is in the process of supposedly being disco'd.

JUst another example of Pepsi pushing something half ass and then blaming lack of demand on why it did poorly.

It's as if some guy in marketing WANTED it to fail because he had a grudge against the guy who developed it.

It should have been sold in 8 ounce glass bottles, for starters.

Except that it was to be a limited time run from the start.

I heard that it was intended to be a limited run as well prior to it even being released.  What I don't understand is why it was limited in the first place.  I stopped by the market yesterday hoping to score some pepsi throwback.  None to be found.  They did have at least 4 different kinds of diet pepsi though.  Bleh.

A lot of products start as limited runs, and success leads to wider distribution.
