They didn't have a severe shortage of rifles. There were still plenty of '03s in the inventory from the WW1 years and the 1920s.......
The war kicked off for the US before the transition to the M1 could be completed.
That doesn't translate to a shortage of rifles.

China successfully invading the US makes some sense, if they wanted to they could do it but North Korea invading the US is just a joke.


North Korea can't even invade South Korea.  Excellent point.  Won't see it.
