The MSM is obviously protecting him. No one had heard of him before last year, and everyone was certain that Hillary would be the next president. Somewhere along the way, they decided that he was their marxist messiah, and they turned their backs on Hillary. I don't think race is the main issue, but it might play a role.

I wish we had Alan Keyes as the Republican nominee. I wouldn't have a second thought about voting for him. However, I'm still trying to convince myself to vote for McCain

Wittle Barry obviously was not getting his needs met by his family of typical white people.

So, in the great existential angst of his soul, he went seeking the heritage of his sperm donor... and trekked to Mother Africa in pursuit of his African identity.

And he got one.

Pure and simple.

WE modern Americans are the ignorant ones.  WE are the ones who think "rediscovering ones roots" is a quaint hobby, about visiting historical sites and buying a souvenir teeshirt.

The REST of the world still understands the concept of deep, old, traditional ethnic identity.

Let's say some suburban white kid discovers that he is adopted.  And that is father was Italian.  He goes out in pursuit of his Italian heritage, which is all intellectually satisfying.

Then he finds his father was a Mafia don.

Suburban Kid is desperate for his "ethnic identity"... so he enters the world of the Mafia.

Little understanding the complexity and the deep, deep evil which can accompany entering such an identity.

Wittle Barry could have gone through life as simply the mixed race son of a liberal white family.  He could have studied African history and art, and developed a balanced sense of both sides of his heritage.

But that wasn't enough.

Barry Hussein is entangled in the web of a Marxist Kenyan Moslem Tribal Clan, supporting his odious cousin for office, and fully, deeply carrying out his -- Barry's -- role in African tribal clan-identity.

He wanted to be African...?

Mother Africa plays by HER rules, not white suburbia's
-- the same as the Mafia plays by ITS rules.

Barry wanted an black African tribal identity.

HE'S DAMN WELL GOT ONE... and it comes with a price.

THEY own him.  A bunch of Marxist Moslem tribal clan leaders in Kenya.  They OWN him.

That is what the MSM won't touch with a ten foot pole.  Because it's not ethnically sensitive.  It is simply traditional, and it is as old as humankind.

And it is TRUE.

Comedians find Obama jokes a tough sell

Jon Stewart, after telling his audience "you're allowed to laugh" at an Obama joke. (Comedy Central)

What's so funny about Barack Obama? Apparently not very much, at least not yet.

On Monday, The New Yorker magazine tried dipping its toe into broad satire involving Senator Obama with a cover image depicting the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and his wife, Michelle, as fist-bumping, flag-burning, bin Laden-loving terrorists in the Oval Office. The response from both Democrats and Republicans was explosive.

Comedy has been no easier for the phalanx of late-night television hosts who depend on skewering political leaders for a healthy quotient of their nightly monologues. Jay Leno, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien and others have delivered a nightly stream of jokes about the Republican running for president - each one a variant on the same theme: John McCain is old.

But there has been little humor about Obama: about his age, his speaking ability, his intelligence, his family, his physique. And within a late-night landscape dominated by white hosts, white writers and overwhelmingly white audiences, there has been almost none about his race.

"We're doing jokes about people in his orbit, not really about him," said Mike Sweeney, the head writer for O'Brien on "Late Night." The jokes will come, representatives of all the late-night shows said, as soon as Obama does or says something that defines him - in comedy terms.

"We're carrion birds," said Jon Stewart, host of "The Daily Show" on the Comedy Central channel. "We're sitting up there saying 'Does he seem weak? Is he dehydrated yet? Let's attack."'

But so far, no true punch lines have landed.

Why? The reason cited by most of those involved in the shows is that a fundamental factor is so far missing in Obama: There is no comedic "take" on him, nothing easy to turn to for an easy laugh, like allegations of Bill Clinton's womanizing, or President George W. Bush's goofy bumbling or Al Gore's robotic persona.

"The thing is, he's not buffoonish in any way," said Mike Barry, who started writing political jokes for Johnny Carson's monologues in the waning days of the Johnson administration and has lambasted every presidential candidate since, most recently for Letterman. "He's not a comical figure," Barry said.

Jokes have been made about what Hillary Clinton really thought about Obama during the primary campaign, and about the vulgar comments the Reverend Jesse Jackson made about him last week. But anything approaching a joke about Obama himself has fallen flat.

When Stewart on "The Daily Show" recently tried to joke about Obama changing his position on campaign financing, for instance, he met with such obvious resistance from the audience, he said, "You know, you're allowed to laugh at him." Stewart said in an interview by telephone on Monday, "People have a tendency to react as far as their ideology allows them."

There is no doubt, several representatives of the late-night shows said, that so far their audiences (and at least some of the shows' writers) seem to be favorably disposed toward Obama, to a degree that perhaps leaves them more resistant to jokes about him than those about most previous candidates.

"A lot of people are excited about his candidacy," Sweeney said.

"It's almost like: 'Hey, don't go after this guy. He's a fresh face; cut him some slack."'

Justin Stangel, who is a head writer for "The Late Show With David Letterman," disputed that, saying, "We always have to make jokes about everybody. We're not trying to lay off the new guy."

But Barry said, "I think some of us were maybe too quick to caricature Al Gore and John Kerry and there's maybe some reluctance to do the same thing to him."

Of course, the question of race is also mentioned as one reason Obama has proved to be so elusive a target for satire.

"Anything that has even a whiff of being racist, no one is going to laugh," said Rob Burnett, the executive producer for Letterman.

"The audience is not going to allow anyone to do that."

The New Yorker faced a different kind of hostility with its cover this week, which the Obama campaign criticized harshly.

A campaign spokesman, Bill Burton, said in a statement that "most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive - and we agree."

Asked about the cover at a news conference Monday, McCain said he thought it was "totally inappropriate, and frankly I understand if Senator Obama and his supporters would find it offensive."

The cover was drawn by Barry Blitt, who also contributes illustrations to The New York Times editorial page. David Remnick, the editor of The New Yorker, said in an e-mail message, "The cover takes a lot of distortions, lies, and misconceptions about the Obamas and puts a mirror up to them to show them for what they are.

"It's a lot like the spirit of what Stephen Colbert does - by exaggerating and mocking something, he shows its absurdity, and that is what satire is all about."

But Colbert has thus far failed to engage Obama as a target of his comedy.

Stewart, who is also an executive producer of "The Colbert Report," said that the Obama campaign's reaction to The New Yorker cover seemed part of what is now almost a pro forma cycle in political campaigns. "Nothing can occur without the candidate responding," he said. "We put people in a crazy box. They might be truly offended by it, but the reaction is part of the standard digestive process."

Bill Maher, who is host of a politically oriented late-night show on HBO, said "If you can't do irony on the cover of The New Yorker, where can you do it?"

There is no room for facts and logic in the MSM.

To them, he's black.

As far as the rest not getting a free ride? Well, Sharpton and Jackson routinely make jackasses of themselves to the point they become laughable to everyone, including most plack people I know.
As far as Mr Keyes go, I've heard the accusation that he's "to white" several times.  But I never see the media go after him.

First of all give it a little more time, after the Dimwit convention things will heat up considerably.

Secondly and to be perfectly honest, I'll admit the first time I ever saw him i thought, wow , this guy is very charismatic and appeared to speak with conviction. Now I have never voted Democrat in my life(40yrs) but my first thought was, well maybe. I'll probably get flamed for that but that was my FIRST thought after my first experience with him.

That lasted all of about 4 hours during which I started researching him. There was much less available at that time than now but it was enough to understand he was a good orator with a socialist agenda. Reminding me of another great orator from the 30's and 40's, but who used that skill to motivate a people to their own destruction.

I know alot of people will vote race and if that's what it takes to keep him out, so be it. But for me it really has nothing to do with race but his beliefs. i can think of 3 prominent(in the world of politics) blacks that I would vote for in a heart beat but alas they aren't running.

Finally, what scares me more than the man himself is all the young, idealogical people that follow him. For the most part they have no clue how the world works and most have very little experience actually living in it.

Howdy to Momma CBF!

At age 50, I've been around for a few elections myself.

Here's my ideas on why the media is so in loooooooove with Obama

1)  White liberal guilt -- it's a cult and a culture.  It's a business in fact.

2)  Obama is a "personality" with a cult, like a musician or sports star.

3)  They don't see the difference between someone with a strong traditional-values American black family background (like your sweetheart of a daughter), and the product of a wacky liberal white suburban chick getting knocked up by an African-Arab sperm donor, and raised by his white suburban grandparents -- who hates himself for what he "is", and has gone nuts trying to be various things he isn't.

4)  McCain is kind of dull.  Obama is all razzle-dazzle.

5)  Pretty soon the bloom will be off the rose, and the leftist media will turn on Obama for one reason or another.  They are very much prone to eating their own, like we saw them do to Hillary.

Pull up a chair and set a spell, Momma CBF.  We are mighty pleased to have your daughter here with us.

I think one of the big reasons that the media is so enthralled by BHO is that he appears to be non-threatening. He tells people what they want to hear. Just for a minute, put your brain on pause. Aren't there some things you'd like to see changed? Heck, yeah! Well, BHO is going to usher in change. OK, un-pause. Most of what he promises is feel good, non-specific, fluff. (The rest is unabashed socialism.) But for people with their brains apparently in a permanent holding pattern, that's all it takes. They just want to feel good. They remind me of Cypher from "The Matrix", willing to sell their soul and believe a lie just so they can feel good.
