Haven't eaten one since I started paying for the groceries . . .

Like has been posted above, I'm finding the things that I thought repulsive as a child aren't so bad now that I'm an adult.

Maybe I should give them a go . . .

I never knew they grew like this:








I'm going to try growing my own one of these days.  Apparently you don't harvest them until after the first frost, so they are sweeter and not so bitter.

Food of the Gods!!  just steam them, no additives needed.  

I used to get pizza with chopped brussel sprouts in college.

Get it or make it?  I can't imagine any pizza place that would offer that as a topping.  Did you go to college at Berkeley?

It's very cool the way they grow. Like I said in a previous post they can overwinter in the garden if you have deep snow cover in your area.

Hint: Don't eat the frozen ones they taste like shit, you need them fresh from produce!!

When I was growing up, we only ate the stuff my dad liked.

I didn't discover the deliciousness of broccoli, avocados, Brussels sprouts until I moved out.
