Indiana No liqueur sales on Sunday. (state wide) KY's alcohol laws on wiki. I honestly thought grocery stores couldn't sell wine here but apparently they can. However apparently it's easier to just keep it to beer/cooler-drinks cos of the restrictions. Oh and there's no booze sales during primary & general elections. and that's not starting on the county-specific - and city-specific - regulations. at least our gun-laws aren't convoluted. irony! A study of about 39,000 alcohol-related traffic accidents in Kentucky found that residents of dry counties are more likely to be involved in such crashes, possibly because they have to drive farther from their homes to consume alcohol, thus increasing impaired driving exposure. The study concludes that county-level prohibition is not necessarily effective in improving highway safety.

In Bellingham WA they banned "single use plastic bags" - I am sure this critical law will save the environment and prevent the seas from drowning all the hippies. |
