[those who criticized the GSP trooper for the PIT]What??  The cop acted as judge, jury, and executioner.  Since when is holding a hostage a capital offense?  The cop should have expected death when he pulled the trigger...................blah, blah, blah[/those who criticized the GSP trooper for the PIT]

You sure it wasn't a dog that got shot?

Good to hear that. If it happened more regularly that kind of crap would stop!

I got the video to work but the money shot (woot, pun) is "burped" out... frame freezes, you hear the shot, and then he is on ground.

Quality of fair at best.

Aww well... maybe someone had a home video.  Its always nice to see a goblin take one in the noggin.

If I had to guess it went like this. Guy finds out his wife is cheating on him and they have a big fight and break up. Then he finds out they are getting a divorce and as usual she is taking him to the cleaners.

In a rage the guy loses control and tries to kill the stupid b*tch but fails. then when confronted by the cop he takes a hostage to try to work his way out of the situation (bad idea) and he gets a bullet through his head.

6 months later his wife gets everything (hey she was going to anyway ) and runs off with a random lover to the bahamas. all the while this guy who made poor decisions is probably burning in hell.

Please ban women. Do it for our sanity.

Sounds like good police work.  It's not fun shooting someone, but sometimes it has to be done.

Nah, they were calling thier shrinks!  They just witness a shooting - they were traumatized they will be years in therapy to work through this...

Probably not in the Oracle, cause its about .308. Most common US police marksman's rifle is the Remington 700 with Federal or Black Hills 168gr OTM.

Yep. People don't die in real life. Crime doesn't exist. People don't fart. You wear your khakis and listen to britney spears while watching a reality show on tv.

Hi all,
These kind of incidents make being a gun owner in Canada that much harder.  This guy had a sawed off shotgun that is illegal, but I'm sure the 2 billion they have spent so far making us register all our firearms is money well spent.  Maybe if they spend another 2-3 billion they can get the criminals to register their illegal weapons?

I would say this looks like a clean shoot.  No chance of taking the guy alive, so make sure he does not go out in a blaze of "glory".  Can anyone say "suicide by cop"?

When you see the Canadian press talk about a bedroom community, think about suburbs.

Id say at least a 700 PSS. Unmodified sporting rifles no matter how well made arent acceptable any longer as sniper weapons. Who knows maybe canada has relaxed standards, but most governments and agencies have moved up to custom built guns made for delivering cold shot accuracy.

Putting anything other than match grade ammo through a sniper rifle is like putting keroseen in a ferrari.

Good shootin'.
I'd say he waited about 37 minutes too long to take the shot though...

37 minute may have provided time for the goblin to relax his grip, move away from his human cover slightly,  relax his finger from the trigger, possibly move the muzzle away from his shield (for example: toward a non-human target).
Don't shoot until it's right, ya' can't take it back!

No no no you got it all wrong, it's the average beat cop that can't shoot fer shit. The SWAT guys are superduper trained ex-icouldtellyabutidhavetakilla- super secret deltasquirrel guys who can shoot the dick of a knat at 1000yards blindfolded in a monsoon. Being a cop I thought you'd know that geesh..

But in all honesty, who spends more time training with ther weapons, SWAT type officers or beat cops. One would have to expect a certain "higher" level of ability from them do to that. Not saying it's always the case though.

BTW did anyone ever find video of this yet?
Saw the link above never mind.
