Looks like they are out of stock. I forgot my wallet at home and missed out. Lol. Oh well next time.

I'd fo if I had the money right now.
ETA: Those new small frame PSA .308s look nice. |

.308 Winchester chambers, not 7.62 NATO, eh? That will handle 7.62 NATO fine, correct? View Quote If anyone here buys a PA/PX-10 I would recommend using only .308 ammo as the case wall is thinner like the chamber was designed for. It would not be my choice of a rifle if most of the ".308" you have is 7.62x51mm. The two FAL's and M14S i used to have never had a problem like this for me to think about as they all had chrome lining and 7.62x51mm chambers. Its good if all your going to do with it is scope it and tune it for accuracy, but not a good rifle for military surplus ammo blasting. ETA: My PA10 is a Gen 1 near when they first came out to replace my Norinco M-14s that was a PITA to put a scope on correctly. I wish I still had my first FAL. Don't get me wrong though. the PA10 is ok if your going to load your own or use .308 commercial loads for hunting/accuracy etc.. Hopefully this issue has been addressed in the Gen 2 or PX10. I want to shoot 7.62x51 personally and will swap out when the PX10 is available with a CHF FN barrel that is Chrome-lined and 7.62nato chamber. -or other brand if I see one. Maybe the Ruger. |

So if you have no .308 rifles, but get one of these, what optic would you recommend for distance?

So, since Olympic Ceracoating is off the table,
What would the hive recommend for taming the shine off that bright & shiny Stainless Steel barrel? |

You know there is more companies that offer coating options. . .
Sheesh. Or just get the materials and do it at home on your own. |

As someone already asked, what optic should I put on it? Vortex preferred.

What's so good about those old rifles? Nostalgia? Barrel? Easy to clean? Serous question, no experience with them.

I've owned 5 different AR10s/LR-308s/LR-260s. I kept one custom GAP LR-260 and don't shoot it. I have oodles of 6.5 Grendel now, with more in the works. I wish I could take my Bartlein .260 Rem pipe and put it in a small frame receiver set made under one roof by a reputable company with no employees that will ruin the rifle during the manufacturing/assembly process. PSA is shedding these so they can sell their new PX-10 small frame, which has receivers that look exactly like a DPMS GII. http://palmettostatearmory.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/thumbnail/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/p/x/px101.jpg I just can't stay invested in the large frame ARs at this time for several reasons, weight and bulk being the most significant ones. The way the AR10 was supposed to be made back in 1959 is where we should have been long ago. http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j422/LRRPF52/Retro%20ARs/ar-10a_zpsy0dwat9c.jpg http://i1085.photobucket.com/albums/j422/LRRPF52/Retro%20ARs/DSCN3494.jpgoriginal_zpsxbugmsjz.jpeg View Quote The small frame system that DPMS made is basically the original AR-10 from what I can tell. I need to start learning more about glass. The thing is, to me in a store all the scopes look great. The only time I went wow was when I looked through an acog. But then I have never asked to see the scopes upwards of a thousand. And I never hardly shoot at a hundred, just mainly plink and peck at about 50yd. Got the room but just don't much.

I say FO and I would FO myself if the damn things were in stock long enough for me to. It's a damn good deal. The only hold back I can think of is what kind of deals will be going on for Labor Day weekend? I bet there will be some crazy deals for Black Friday this year too. Remember these days folks!

The $700 free floated PA10 has been this price for over a month now. If it's OOS it will come back in soon. I bought one in dick mod and it sort of works.

Super Sniper would be a good optic for a .308 AR. Yes you can spend as much money as you want to but for the money, the SS is hard to beat.

My current .308 AR started off as a PSA special, except now it has a MI forend, Rainier match barrel, and POF drop in trigger. Even with the PSA barrel, it was a solid 1.5" gun with 168s.

If it does b/c of your cheerleading I will hunt you down and beat you with all 10 goddamn pounds of it, and then dump my standard load on your head. The M4A1 w/ M855A1 does just fine, thank you. I think it's a horrible idea, but if it must happen at least it can be a small frame AR-10 that weighs 7.8lbs, and is only barely larger than the AR-15. |

My buddy just bought one with the 20$ cheaper stock.
Now I need to find out what parts are compatible with it. Mags, etc. |

Extremely over gassed and I'm fighting FTE issues. I already put on an adjustable gas block and hope that helps. Range day should be Thursday. My long gone DPMS LR308 had some issues in the beginning as well, but after a few hundred rounds worked perfectly. I would have kept it if it was threaded for my cans and not 15 pounds.
