Actually, he meant "quit".

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't think anyone understood what he meant until you came along.

Apparently not even after I brought it up.

You probably didn't know it but just had to post something cute, or at least you think it is.

About the same time that VW announced a new plant in TN, the THP started buying some VW patrol cars.

That won't last long.

Doesn't NYPD use horses?  (never been there, just heard about them)

If so I wonder what's more efficient?

Cost of hybrid + fuel + maintainence

Cost of horse + feed + vet bills

My understanding is that they use horses to give them better visibility. Sitting on horseback they can see over crowds. And I'd imagine it's easier to move plow through a crowd on a big animal.

It would be great for some things.  Not great for others...

They're apparently hated. Those and the Altimas the NYPD gets. My brother was telling me they beat the shit out of them when they get assigned them because they're beyond uncomfortable.

Your brother is an asshole.

Actually, we got these little buggers. They are pretty good for what they are used for.

The city I'm in uses those for the meter maids. It cracks me up every time I'm behind one. It says "Interceptor" across the back of the cab. They're not very fast.

I'd love to be in a high speed chase with one of those.

Obviously as the felon.

I wonder what they did to get stuck with one of those? I wouldn't want to drive it.

Campus police in F150s always made me laugh...

They'd have been better off with something a bit more suited to the terrain...

Like a Jeep, even.

What happened to bicycles?  If I was metermaiding I'd rather have a bike as opposed to a prius, unless it was raining.
